I’ve been in contact with Microsoft support regarding my free month of Xbox live for having purchased Halo MCC. The recently emailed me, asking for me to post here in order to receive my free month. Their email is quoted below:

Hi there, the free month is still rolling out to everyone so if you don’t have it yet don’t worry, you will. There’s no specific dates as to when you will get it though. It may be that you do actually have it already, you just haven’t recieved the message (this happened to me).
Check the Microsoft Commerce site. You will want to go to the XBL Gold Subscriptions page and then click the ‘view history’ link. It should show you something like this where it details out your current sub - when it began and when it ends. That is my account, you can see the one month has already extended my 13 month sub to July.
As long as you have the Avatars and Emblems, you should be in line to get ODST when it drops. If for any reason you don’t have them, send a message to B is for Bravo . You can also tweet him if you have twitter and he will check with the team, just pass him your gamertag
I received my free month last night. Either 343 is listening to these forums after all, or stckrboy was right and they finally just got to my name on the list.
I just received mine a few hours ago. Unfortunately Microsoft doesn’t allow you to redeem a code if you remove your tool of payment from your xbox live account. Instead I have to wait 11 months to redeem it… On the bright side the Xbox live token won’t expire according to their website. I guess ill just write down the code in case somehow it got deleted from my messages between now and then. It seems crazy to leave traces of your payment on your account considering 100+ banks were hacked and over 1 billion dollars was stolen just a few days ago.

It should be added to your account directly, there shouldn’t be no code when it come to the free month. Just a message saying it was added.
Two Matchmaking Games in one hour and that’s been about par. No problems in custom games minus the same chatting problems that have been supposedly fixed: NOT. The games we got into are still buggy and laggy. Kicking people. Weapons disappearing. Achievements won’t unlock. THIS IS JUST PLAIN RIDICULOUS. It has been 100 days!!! You have had 100 days to fix this game, a ton of days before that to actually test the game, and you can’t/didn’t do that!!!
Stop spending so much time on Halo 5 because it’s only a direct copy of Destiny and COD combined. It’s garbage. Try fixing some games that were actually good. I don’t see how you don’t put in more time because if this is the result for games that have already been released, what makes you think that anyone would want to buy a new game from 343. This is utter garbage. I have religiously played Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3 for years and I cannot do it anymore even though that was what was promised.
I pulled my preorder on Halo 5 and I will not be buying it unless this game is what was promised to me. As far as I’m concerned, you stole $60 from me, because I can’t play even half the game as was advertised. I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THIS! I have never had much to complain about with the Halo series but that just takes the cake. You need to give the franchise back to Bungie for free. You won’t make any money off of it. You might have to pay them to take it back after what you’ve done to the good name of the Halo Series. Either that or fire everyone and start with some competent individuals that know how to make a video game and actually like Halo.
