I just got around to buying this game. Having been a huge fan of Forge from previous games and given that this has really only been the primary draw for me it really ticked me off to discover that I have to be online to play it. Add to this insult I also have to have a paid membership to play! This is like buying a DVD and then having to pay a continual fee everytime I want to watch it? Who’s ok with this?
I do completely agree on your point. In addition to that, another substantial flaw is that Forge cannot be played without an internet connection which means that you cannot enjoy Forge on a rainy day without any internet.
I hope they go back to being playable offline or I’m selling this new Xbox and go to Playstation!

In the case of H5 I do not think it will get updated, but Tom French (the 343 lead for UGC) stated how they really wanted to make forge available offline, but time constraints prevented them from realizing that goal. Im not sure if he is the lead UGC for infinite, but hopefully next time around he can please a lot more folks.
