NO Forerunner Vehicles in Multiplayer

From what I’ve seen so Far there are none.

There is no excuse for that.

None whatsoever.

The games primary/new factions are Forerunner and there are NO forerunner Vehicles…

Are you kidding me ?

This is the biggest Halo to date, with Massive ammounts spent on advertising and a live action series and all 343i can manage to squeak into the game is a mech.

The mech would be fun if half the maps weren’t as tight closed, narrow and cluttered with objects as my refrigerator.

And the only air vehicle is the banshee ?

Did you guys forget there were a few Human vehicles that can fly too ? Or is the hornet a little too big for the nightmare of a closed in play space that Exile is. You can barely fly the banshee around in that thing it’s so small.

And last but not least…The Pelican.

IF 343i really had their stuff together they would have remembered how awesome and fun it was to drive around in the Elephant on Sandtrap. So…

Why not take that same Idea and build upon it. Instead of the Elephant make One large map with Arial Platforms and a flyable Pelican. The Map could be Aircentric with The Hornet, Banshee and an unknown type of forerunner vehicle to use. Perhaps it could have been similar to Ascention but larger and with multiple fighting platforms. To avoid having players being stuck there could be a series of mancannons which allow you to traverse the map, albeit at a slower rate. The mancannons could also be used to launch smaller vehicles such as a ghost.

BUt no…that is just too “outside the box” and 343 needs to bring in that new audience and play it safe instead of just trusting their gut instinct and shooting for the stars.

I’m sorry, you guys put a lot of work into the game but not in the right places. This is not the Halo I used to know. There is not the same innovation in map design and flow and evolution that bungie had.

Next time instead of spending oodles of time on store exclusive features or helmet variants, try focusing on building upon core components of the game that were good instead of axing features and then trying to graft on new components.

btw - “Assault” better be a selectable game-type.

while i agree with some of what you said you have to remember the xbox is pretty old now. it’s not as simple as “oh this is a cool idea so lets just add it”. trying to balance what you can fit into a game to make everyone happy is extremely difficult(not saying i feel they made all the right choices). also halo 4 is it’s own game so maybe adding a bunch of vehicles would through off the balance, who knows? until i get to actually play the game i can’t really say for sure.

Halo 2 only had the Banshee, and it was the best Halo game (IMO).

I would have liked to see a forerunner vehicle though.

Looking at this from a canon point of view, the Prometheans don’t need vehicles, they are robots. The KNights can even teleport!

Adding new vehicles would have been cool, but there is no need.

TBH i seen this coming since we got our first sniff of halo 4 info.

They don’t need vehicles, they can teleport, so there is no reason for them to use vehicles, and knights are 12 feet tall, none of the vehicles they’d use would be usable.

Honestly, it doesn’t bother me that there is no UNSC aircraft. Sure I’d love to have the Falcon back, or even the Hornet but I can live with out them/

Though it doesn’t make sense to me from a cannon standpoint. If War Games are simulations for Spartans…why would they not use their own aircraft?

Forerunners are too awesome for vehicles…

The War Sphinx disagrees with you.

Vehicles we can use on a map… Not that.

Those would be the most overpowered things in the history of Halo.

Thats…pretty much what I just said?

With the ability to teleport vehicles become kind of… pathetically useless. After that vehicles are only really good for drawing fire. I have no problem with the lack of Forerunner vehicles. Plus, we got a mech!

Ok, if you were basically a walking tank with predator like weaponry, would you like to drive a little cart around, or teleport… -_-

Not too hard of a decision WHY prometheans would not care about vehicles. 343i is trying to make a fun game that is somewhat realistic in its own way. Making a promethean vehicle would be like, “Hey, I can teleport, but I would rather just drive over that mountain today…”

I am really sad there are no forerunner vehicles, but it’s not a big deal to me. Since we do get their weapons and abilities to kill people with I am quite satisfied.
What I care alot more about is the lack of Elephants or Mammoths! I don’t understand why 343 didn’t include them in the multiplayer, especially after adding the Mantis.
