Does 343 care that they made a POS game? Between co-op lag, missions not unlocking, achievements not popping, in game voices being too quiet, this game is awful.
I beat The Maw with a friend, his legendary achievements popped, mine didn’t. This is not the first instance of serious issues with the game.
Here is my theory about the lack of support. Its my post copied from the other thread:
When I last checked the sales figures for Halo CEA were barely 1.7 million copies sold. I beleive that is the worst sales ever for a Halo game. Maybe they thought they had a cash cow and now that the game has performed so badly its not financially viable to invest the time and resources to bring out a patch.
And what an embarrasment for them to come out and admit the fault. I for one would respect their honesty. If they hadnt inherited such a lucrative franchise they wouldnt even have the luxury of of being able to brush this off. If a game bombs these days, the studio gets shut down.
Grow a backbone 343i!!
ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND SUPPORT THIS GAME OR NOT!!?
Game would have sold more if they advertised it, but there was little advertising done. The game was for the fans who were too young to play ce and the fans that would experience nostalgia.
Theyre not fixing it because all their resources are probably being used on halo 4.
Don’t forget this is a 10 year old game. Nothing can be perfect in a game, and this one will be even less perfect because they are working with a 10 year old engine designed for the first Xbox.
I can’t agree with you on all the problems. My game runs smoothly, all my achievements work, all my skulls/terminals work… everything is fine for me. I don’t play co-op because I already know my internet connection is bad as it is, so I don’t even try. Im perfectly okay. Every game has glitches. Maybe its your Xbox, maybe its your copy of the game, maybe it is 343i’s fault.
And remember, as said below, this game was a little 10 year anniversary present for the fans. It was not intended to be “The Next Big Thing”. So it was not designed that way. It will not be supported that way. Halo 4, however, is the next big move for the Halo Franchise. It will be designed better, supported better, overseed better.
CEA won’t be getting a patch, unfortunately. It’s more of a take-it-and-go game for people to enjoy while 343 works on Halo 4. Support for the game was never in the works.
The point is that we shouldnt have to speculate: Can they fix it? Cant they fix it? They should come out and say what their position is so we know.
If they are not going to patch the faults at least give their reasons why.I’m tired of hearing everyone elses reasons why they cant do this or that. The worst ones are “its a 10 year old game” and “they are working on Halo4 now”.
These problems are now and Halo4 is in the future.
Peoples achievements not popping and level progress not saving are not problems from 10 years ago. They are new to this release.
Well, they are going to lose a customer for Halo 4.
There are tons of problems with this game, as noted by all the problem threads on this forum. Having a game not save level progress on a consistent basis is unacceptable. Getting a black screen for no reason is absurd.
Are you sure you went through the whole Campaign on Legendary you might not have finished a mission because you had to go or something and you forgot about it. I have none of these problems people are talking about. I have every achievement, maybe they’re not unlocking because of co-op lag. And levels not unlocking I think is if you do co-op they don’t unlock in solo. I noticed something like that when I got Halo 3.
Oh and by the way

343 gave this game a low budget, and they gave it no advertisement. They did not want this to be a huge multimillion dollar game. Frank O’Connor said a while back that they actually didn’t expect much profit from it, and it was more for just the hardcore Halo fans. I’m not usually the type of person to say what I am about to say, but please keep up with what 343 does and say if you are going to say something like that.

Yes, the guy I was playing with got the achievement for beating The Maw on Legendary. I did not.
I expect a game to work, so if my refusal to purchase a future game by a company that makes broken games(343), then I guess I am eight. Are you really that ignorant to make such a comment?

If 343 didn’t want to support the game or won’t, then they shouldn’t have bothered making it in my opinion.

Why would they want to support a remake? I wouldn’t. The only thing they need to do is fix some bugs and be done with it.

OMG! U gonna act like whiny baby kid becuze der a screeen dat is duh colur black!?!?
Jeez, 1 kid isn’t gonna buy Halo 4 because of a completely different game. Wow… thats a certain level of stupidity. Halo 4 is going to be much better. Remember, 343i had a few months to work on Halo Anniversary, they have a few years to work on Halo 4. And so what if your not going to get it? It won’t even put a dent in Halo 4’s sales. No one will care. You’re just letting yourself down.
And there are tons of problems with every game. And did you ever take into mind that the problems might not be with 343i, or their game? It might be you. Maybe you dropped it, scratched it slightly, or your Xbox is old and glitchy. Did you ever take into mind how much of an acomplisment Halo anniversary is? It will change remakes/remasters forever. They layered a new graphics engine over a 10 year old engine made for the first Xbox, and made them work together. They work together pretty nicely, considering what could have happened. The game could have been so glitchy 343i would have had to scrap it. Its better to think about what you have, then what you want to have. And I don’t know what your problem is, but my game works fine. And I haven’t even installed it to my HDD.
Most of those “Problem Threads” are kids overreacting to one glitch. Are you one of those kids?
If my expressing dissatisfaction about a game that does not work is being whiny then so be it. Choosing to vote with my wallet is also my choice.
I am not the only one who has gotten a black screen for no reason. My game is not scratched. Every other game I have works fine so it isn’t my xbox. Read every other topic. This game is full of problems. 343 put their name on a broken game.

Actually Saber Interactive made the remake, not 343.
Why do you have to have 343i to fix it?
Why don’t you try embedding two game engines that can toggle.
Why don’t you try making the game key at the same time.
Why don’t you go cry too your momma and say you want perfect connection.
Why Don’t you get off 343i’s back?
