I Like halo 4… but I would like it better with firefight. The spartan ops are cool but I only play them once or twice. I feel in general halo 4 has missed a number of few things that has made Reach last for the past 2 years. Im just complaining because I can. I just hope they(343) will learn from their mistakes in the next halo.

play your cards right, and firefight could have been pretty epic
jus sayin’
I would have loved to use the incineration cannon on groups of lil grunts
Or a binary rifle and disintegrate those little -Yoinks!-

You’re talking to a Firefight Limited junkie. Spartan Ops is basically Reach’s Co-Op Campaign of the running of the trolls.
IMO firefight was boring and repetitive killing the same enemies in the same area for long times. Spartan ops is a better alternative that keeps things new with fresh episodes. I think they made a good move replacing firefight.
Firefight i believe was exciting if you challenged yourself with personal set waves in a custom game with friends.
The reason Firefight was so great to me was because of the custom options that allowed me to F with the AIs. If I wanted FF limited, I could make it. If I wanted to ride a hunter to make him dance, I could.

The only time I actually truly enjoyed Firefight was when they had Generator Defense. That was an actual challenge versus your vanilla fight.
All that other mixed combinations they tried to do in Firefight was a magnificant failure. No consequences to firefight pretty much sums it up. I would love to go into a rant on why it was too casual, but I’m not going to.
Spartan Ops isn’t bad for a story mode but it’s no firefight. I’m just glad that mode is here and firefight is gone. If anything ODST firefight ruled.

It was as casual or intense as you decided to make it. If you are referring to Matchmaking then I agree with you, but Firefight was never truly intended for matchmaking, the purpose of putting it there at all was simply to create a casual atmosphere.
It was intended to played in the custom firefight lobby where you had full control over the firefight experience that you wanted to have.
Personally I far preferred Firefight to Spartan Ops due to the fact that it was way more customizable and left you way more freedom within the game to do what you want.
Spartan Ops is fun, and a cool idea, but I don’t think that it was/is worth losing firefight for.
