So my friend told me that MM has story and it’s some kind spartan training simulation. Well my first thought was “hey it sounds cool”. BUT then I thought about it for a sec and realized something that I hope is not true. Because if this is spartan training then there will be no elites in MM? And that meants no invasion right? I really hope that I am wrong. Invasion was the only MM game mode which had little story, dialogue and epic music in it and that’s why it was so great! In Reach bungie was holding invasion back by only giving it few maps and now when 343 could make it go to next lvl they are not doing it.
I don’t want to believe that 343 is throwing away such a great game mode. Tell me that they can add elites and invasion to MM without making MM story weird.

I believe its the maps they were talking about. 343 said they were not just going to take parts of campaign levels and make them MM maps. The maps in H4 were going to be unique.
I wouldn’t say invasion will be gone outright. I mean why cant we just do Spartan vs Spartan invasion. Also from what I’ve read so far all that’s been mentioned about the elites is that they wont be playable in competitive play lists, which may not rule them out completely. so they still maybe present in forge, custom, and social(if social play lists aren’t classified as competitive).
Hopefully there will be invasion, if not, that sucks.

They didnt say the elites werent in matchmaking. What they said was the werent in competitive. Whether or not the elites are still in the game has yet to be confirmed. However, for what we know, Invasion may be considered a non-competitive gametype in their eyes. This would leave elites in the social side of halo 4, whcih could work.
Lets wait until we get more information. I know the times seem grim, but how much do we actually know?
