No DMR in swat?????

REALLY? Why thats not cool I am not fond of the BR but I’m stuck with it most of the time. All I’m asking is a swat variant with DMRs. I don’t think that is a bad request.

Recuiting…7P Yausta Company

anyone thinking the same?

AGREE 100% never a huge fan of BR

i mean i like them both and would like to be able to pick which one lol.

it doesn’t matter what you use, you can die instantly at any moment

Agreed. I don’t really like the BR I never have, all I want is the DMR on Swat

Why do you need it? It’s just a stronger BR. It’s a 1 shot kill game type. (Headshot at least).

All it would do is cause more body kills.

You can find DMR is many maps to pick up

I agree! SWAT started with the DMR back in Reach, and in halo 4 they added the BR which made it a bit more interesting, but now they don’t even have the weapon that they began with. BRING BACK THE DMR

wish they offered a choice

I was wondering what happened to the dmr in SWAT. I’d like to see it return as well.

I like some DMR as well.

Id like to see a game or two with DMRs but Ill forever prefer the BR.

It even shows one on the swat loading picture

The dmr would be too easy to get kills with. At least you have to aim with mag and br

This is how they decided to get rid of the DMR:

SWAT started with Bungie in Reach. SWAT started with DMR. Therefore DMR = Bungie.
343 went through a transitional period in H4 where it offered both…
Now 343 has the confidence of full control and says “DMR IS BUNGIE?!??!? PURGE THIS DMR IMMEDIATELY. WE ARE NOT BUNGIE, AND WE WILL NEVER BE!”

The DMR would just lead to standoff-ish, campy cross-map spamming. The pistol’s limited zoom encourages map movement.

When you’re unscoped, it’s the same as the pistol anyway. Same rate of fire, both guns have the same damage & both have perfect accuracy.

The only way the DMR would work in swat is if they brought in some of the BTB maps and made the DMR the starting gun on those.

SWAT started in Halo 2, which obviously didn’t have a DMR. When the DMR was finally added to any SWAT playlists, it was probably introduced because it was a new weapon, which makes sense. There could certainly be an update to the playlist that implements the DMR, but with as small as the maps in Halo 5 are, the BR and Magnum are more than enough, I think. Plus, you get a three shot burst with the BR; sweep it across their head and you’ve got a kill. If you sweep with the DMR with the lack of aim assist in Halo 5, have fun respawning.

Oh, well either way it was a Bungie product that married SWAT and DMR.

Halo 2 and Halo 3 SWAT was the BR. Only Reach had DMR for Bungie’s games. It never married it, Reach was just the most recent of the Bungie games which happened to have the DMR.
