So I have noticed a lot of people don’t like how aiming on a controller feels. I made a thread on heard going over how to make it better if you are used to older Halos or other shooters. Look for “Need help aiming in Infinite?” on the forums. Hope it helps.
TLDR version for everyone
low aim assist on controller isn’t horrible, garbage acceleration curves that exacerbate low aim assist is the issue.
I agree it is not the decreased aim assist that is causing my aiming issues, it’s the lack of higher sensitivity settings for controller. Yes this is a personal preference.
Although, I do not think it causing much of an aiming issue for me more than it is causing a flexibility issue. I am not struggling to get gun kills or topping the scoreboard, in fact I do that almost every other game. My issue is with how much effort I need to change directions, look around, position my crosshairs around the display etc. This is extra handy when I want to 360 scan an area (or no scope), melee someone behind me etc.
I know for mouse lower sensitivity is desired and maybe for many people or some prefer lower sensitivity on controller too. Other games have higher thresholds and I am used to playing with the highest sensitivity on every FPS and there is a clear difference on the maximum levels between HALO and other AAA FPS.
Man I don’t think itst necessarily that either. I mean if you’re a person that plays on 10 sensitivity I can see your point. What I have been running up against is that it feels like I am fighting the controller when trying to make more precise adjustments. Something is off with the overall mechanic. Sometimes even just looking around the map and not aiming at players feels off. For the life of me I can’t figure why they just didn’t incorporate something like what destiny or apex has. I know destiny has a lot of assist and magnetism, but I’m not talking about that. That game comes off as much smoother when just merely looking around the map.
To boot up Infinite in big picture mode, resolve that problem you mentioned?
You can’t possibly be this ignorant?
I am a PC gamer, not an Xbox gamer so yeah I could have been for a while.
Aim controls need AA and maybe magnetism too, otherwise its unplayable.
omg please stop talking about aim assist
YES YES YES YES
ITS THE RESPONSE CURVE, IM NOT CRAZY
Jump on MCC , Modern Curve, it feels MOMUNENTALLY BETTER
Controller look sensitivity being really slow is also a huge problem. God it sucks and I’m tired of talking about. For months since the flights. No one at 343 has even acknowledged stuff like complaints and feedback about slow look sensitivity. Isn’t this supposed to be a modern shooter where everyone can enjoy themselves? Because it ain’t that
