So I just beat H4 on legendary co-op. Once we finished, my rank reset to 1 for some reason. I didn’t unlock the armor or emblems like everyone else with me. I checked my commendations, I had only the first 3 commendations for completing the game on legendary which I did a few days earlier. But when I go to look at the campaign missions, where I select which one I want to play, it says I beat them all co-op on legendary. How do I get the commendations? Because I’m not replaying it, that would be complete BS. It took 7 hours to beat it, and I refuse to do it again. Any fixes?
Were you playing it while connected to Xbox Live? It may not have registered if you were playing locally. Not sure about your rank resetting.
Yes I was playing on xbox live for the whole thing. And I know I didn’t disconnect during it, because I was playing with other people also on xbox live from seperate xboxs that don’t even live in the same state as me. Campaign says I completed it, achievements say that I have completed it, just the commendations don’t.
It’s unacceptable if this is due to a server error with me being reset to rank 1. This game has been out too long for this crap to remain an excuse.
And I’ve been reset to rank 1 again. Wtf is this crap.
So many issues with the campaign comms and unlocks when in co-op. Its annoying but the only “fix” i know of is to complete it again but solo legendary (while online). Until these co-op unlock problems are solved i think its best to avoid using co-op to get the Mark VI armour and comms.
343i better be trying to fix this -Yoink-. After just spending 7 hours playing campaign plus the time I put into beating it on normal launch night (Just tried to get through it quick for mp), I am campaigned out. I still want my rewards though, damn it. 343i needs to get on top of this. I absolutely love the game, and have 0 complaints other than spartan ops and co-op campaign lag until this -Yoink-. Really turns me off of this game.
Is there any solution to fixing this, other than re doin it all?
I mean I have the achievements and it says I did it in the campaign tab, couldn’t 343 see that or something. And how do I fix this rank reset thing? So frustrating.
Well first thing is your rank reset is just a server error where its failed to load your rank. I can see your actual rank still on Waypoint which means its not a full on reset so just try ejecting Halo 4, turning xbox on and off a few times and maybe restarting your modem. Its annoying but i have to do things like this to make all my specs reappear which i guess is a similar sever issue.
Chances are this server issue has happened and stopped your campaign comm progress too. You could try reaching out to 343i about getting the comms and armour as you have the achievements to prove you have done it. Dont think you would have much luck with that though. Sorry i dont know any fix besides finishing it again, hopefully someone knows a fix that can help you out.

Anyone else having this problem? My rank is no longer resetting. Of course the one time it happened to me was once I beat campaign on legendary.

This happened to me. I was missing on for legendary in commendations and did it with co-op. I got all the achievements.
I contacted 343. They just told me to play compleat lay through in one game. No stops, no starting at check points.
I got the armor as soon as I finished the level.
Simply put, you can get the achievements even if you stop at a check point but no the armor. You must play straight through.
Your situation does not apply for me. I played straight through every mission. The 2 other players both got their commendations, I didn’t. I was the only one whose armor reset and rank reset to 1 after we finished.
