I’d rather have lag fixed before theater is added into spartan ops
however, there have been a few times where i would have loved to go back and watch those hilarious moments.
I think its because there so focused on supporting the playlist and upcoming changes and dlc and coming to Halo 4 that they push other stuff aside.
I think to them, if it isn’t going to contribute to the sustainable population of game, it gets pushed back for something more relevant at the time.
I expected Halo 4 to have theater mode support for all game modes, but sadly thats not the case, and with the developers not exactly prioritizing it, it really just sucks. Makes me wonder about Customs and Forge.

Yes lag is the biggest issue for me too. People try to play it off as ‘sucky internet’ or playing with people from a different region. Those do not hold water when me and three other guys i know IRL that live in Texas (as i do) and have great bandwith (as i do), we get a noticeable 1-2 second lag between button presses.

i wish they brought that back.
That’s a real shame. Campaign/cooperative players really got the shaft with this release. 343 Industries released a mostly-great campaign in that it continues the story of our favorite protagonist, it meaningfully brings the entire universe forward, and it sheds light on humanity’s next enemy. With all of that said, people who play the game just to play it have so many fewer features. Campaign scoring has been removed, secret skulls have been removed, Theater has been removed, and Campaign matchmaking has been removed. Additionally, there are only eight levels in the game, and two or three of them are really way too long and paced horribly. Infinity, Reclaimer, and Shutdown all always feel like a chore to play through.
Overall, I know every audience of this game has favorite features of theirs removed, but I think Campaign people got it hardest. It’s devolved back into simply telling the story. Anything that added replayability is gone. It’s a shame. Theater not returning like they implied it would is just kind of the final nail in the coffin for the concept of Halo 4’s campaign having longevity. Halo 3 had a more fully-featured campaign.
