I would love that, I spend way more time in multiplayer. I’ve been an avid Halo fan since Halo: Combat Evolved, but the story has never been a big part of that fascination.
I would actually be really mad. Halo is mainly about the story and the immersion into the story for the player (IMO). If this happened, it would just go to show that the new developer for Halo doesn’t care whatsoever about the story and the whole universe behind Halo.

The Campaign has always been the reason why I’ve bought the Halo games. The Multiplayer is just a huge bonus. As long as the Campaign is awesome, then the game is awesome.
Can’t do it. The Campaign being out of “Halo 4,” is a big as a mistake as 343i releasing Halo 4 with the title “Hello 4.” It’s just very very important is all I’m saying. After all, campaign is what made Halo, then gradually the addition of multiplayer, then so forth.

You dont know, competitive matchamaking is the ONLY reason to play halo. Its for kids with small manhood to feel like men, to prove how important the 1337 lifestyle of elitist circle -Yoink!- parties so you can come on the forums and talk -Yoink- about how “good” they are.
I will probably get in trouble, but seriously, anymore these forums kinda suck. Every thread is fix this, what if that, i dont want sprint, bring back 1-50 so i can boost my way there without having to put the time into the game, so you get this kind of reaction.
It’s a terrible idea. The vast majority of those who play multiplayer were introduced by the campaign. If there no campaign, amount of casual players and new players would be reduced drastically, not to mention many of the hardcore cannon folk. And even I, someone who has at least 1,000x more time in multiplayer than I do in campaign would be extremely upset at not seeing a campaign. Halo campaign is just as big of a reason for it’s fame as it’s multiplayer.

Yeah, its not like Master Chief, the Arbiter, 343 Guilty Spark, the Forerunners, the Precursors, or anyone like that matters. /sarcasm
Halo has always been about the story. Most people buy Halo to follow the Master Chief and the UNSC in their war against the Covenant. If it was all about multiplayer, then why does the Master Chief symbolize Halo? Why would Bungie put campaigns into their last games? Why are there books and “movies” related to the campaign?
Multiplayer is played more, yes. But the campaign, the story, the urge to see what happens next is usually the main reason to buy it. A lot of people probably play campaign first when buying the game. Of course that is usually for the fans who have been here a bit longer than the new ones, but my point stands.

I KNOW RIGHT!!!
I always bought the game for the campaign, its one of the best stories in video game land, evar! My point being, the thread is flamebait, nothing more than to get a negative enraged response out of people.
Without the campaign, there would be no Halo. Do you really think that if CE had no campaign and just multiplayer, that it would have lasted 10 years with the fans?
