I recently noticed in the e3 campaign game play there is no brutes or drones i think its great there is a new class of enemies but the covenant has to be a good few races strong. what do you think should the brutes and drones should be a part of the new halo trilogy’s storyline
Drones!
sorry spelling mistake bottom poll answer should say both should be
But they can be so annoying at times

Yes, yes they can.

especially on reach campaign on legendary single player but of course they are not in reach that much
There will be forerunner’s drones too, who can also throw back your grenades -_-
There were also no hunters in the E3 trailer; I highly doubt that they won’t make the cut.
I missed the Brutes in ODST, I really hope they are in 4…
Hated: Drones, Skirmishers, Brutes, Jackals, Hunters, Elites, Grunts, Prophets
All damage sponges and cheating -Yoinks!-. It’s disgusting.
Loved:
-CE Hunters (they actually pursued you and could keep up with you. What they lacked in quality they had in quantity)
-CE Jackals (they were designed with player and marine in mind, so marines have a chance when up against them. Utility weapon, the God pistol, actually hurt them instead of causing them to conveniently reveal their head all the time)
-CE Elites (perfect, just perfect, had the second best animation variety)
-CE Grunts (had the best animation variety. Thirsty Grunt is badass)
IMO
I hope both return, that’d make it perfect. I want to fight the Halo 3 Brute again, and the drones.

Someone feeling nostalgic? I prefer the reach elites and hunters over the Ce ones, but i agree on the Jackal
Drones and Brutes weren’t in the e3 demo for Reach yet they were still in the game.
I don’t see the Brutes returning. The Elites are in charge again. I would like to see Drones, though.

I acually loved:
-H2 Hunters
-CE Jackals
-H2 Elites (Two-hit-to-insta-kill melee, a grave threat, if you’re not careful)
-CE Grunts
Also, am I the only one who finds normal Elites from any Halo game a greater challenge than legendary H2 Brutes, and legendary Hunters from any Halo?
They at least have to bring back the Hunters. We need the fab four from Halo: Combat Evolved! Also the Plasma Rifle and the Fuel Rod Gun.

Well I did spend the past few hours trying to stealth on Nightfall. It’s possible but it’s difficult. CE was when I could turn nearly any situation into a stealth opportunity.
Fair enough.

H2 Elites like to play with their prey but H2 Hunters are pretty easy to dispatch.
Elites have always been superior to those 2 Covie species. On Legendary, H2 Brutes and Halo Hunters are pretty powerful but ridiculously easy to exploit (For H2 Brutes, one only needs to get to higher ground and shoot the Brute with dual wielded needlers or a carbine shot to the head or just stick him. For Hunters, CE: pistol shot in the back, go around Hunter meleeing, H2: stick with grenade to expose back, dual wield brute plasma rifles, H3: fuel rod gun, spike grenade, go around and shotgun/melee, Reach: go around and shotgun/melee, jump on top of it, launch it). It’s a major AI difference that makes Elites come out on top every time.
Both should be. It doesn’t make for good story to not have both. I want to know what the brutes have been up to and what they now look like. Why wouldn’t drones be there? They are covenant as well.
I’ve got a feeling they will be making appearances at some point. Maybe not Halo 4, but at least future titles. Can’t imagine a Halo game w/o the Gravity Hammer (think of what it would do to Grifball) and I don’t expect any Elites to be using them any time soon. Maybe we’ll get a new similar weapon to replace it.
y u no put option for both!?
I really expect Brutes to be in the game since (if) the Covenant we face in Halo 4 is actually the Abiding Truth, then yes, Elites will be commanding Brutes. however, if they are in Halo 4, they need to be like Reach’s, but with much more health and a beserk mode from Halo 3.
I want Drones back. most ppl hate them. I think they add a unique gameplay perspective, which isnt really that annoying to me and isnt that bad at all.
