I’ve been playing Warzone: Firefight almost exclusively for the last month and I’ve noticed something really annoying. Let’s say that Mythic Warden spawned on Round 5, You spawn a Tundra Scorpion to deal with him. You do a ton of damage getting two-thirds of his health down and you get overrun by knights, While you’re waiting to respawn your teammates kill him, but you don’t get an assist… This has happened way too many times but I’m not sure if its a glitch or a design flaw but it doesn’t make sense that regardless of how much damage you did if you’re not there when he dies or alive you don’t get an assist… I’m curious if this has happened to you guys or if you’re equally as frustrated as I am on this subject.
I mean, you didn’t ever get an assist for killing the Warden in normal WZ, so there is no difference here.

I haven’t played reg Warzone in a while so I can’t compare but if it’s also like that then that’s a shame…
Quite unfortunate. Also emp assists do not seem to count for vehicle kills. I have the same problem, I always focus on the boss and get wiped by the small fry swarm. They should extent the kills credits beyond death.

Isn’t that the truth, Or when you Splazer a phaeton down to almost nothing and it dies as you are charging up the second shot and get nothing. I’ve been alive one time attacking a warden eternal when he went down I didn’t get credit as my last shot went through his now dead body. (firing nonstop from scorpion) I’ve had a lot of boss encounters where I get nothing for the effort and reqs spawned to get the kill.

I mean, I couldn’t tell what hit the ghost there to do the most damage. Definitely plenty of things firing at/hitting it. An argument can be made there is an issue with the scoring, getting credit for takedowns, but there is better evidence than this clip.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. If you like driving a warthog with teammates, and your teammates gun down the boss, you actually get credit for the assist (Legendary or Regular Boss Takedown), but this doesn’t always happen
Generally, you gotta be damaging the target as it dies to get shared credit for the kill. If you’re damaging a target and someone else gets the kill shot, then you get awarded an assist.
It’s why you can have one Pripap and have 7 people on the team awarded with a kill.
Yes that is so common for me and my friends. Also it is not a glitch it is just the way the game is. But there really should at least be assist forbthe bosses like you said.

Ive figured it out, you can do literally 99% of the damage to a boss, but if you dont damage it for about 10 seconds and it dies then you dont get credit… about as ridculous as invincible phantom gunners
To gain maximum points i recommend killing weaker A.I. until a boss is almost to a quarter health then join in on shooting him.
