did anyone notice that there was no bloom on any of the weapons in the video

I think the majority already knew this a long time ago.
But yes, there will be no bloom in certain playlists after the patch comes out.
Bloom will be in the standard playlists while bloomless weapons like the Magnum and DMR will be using the TU settings.
Sorry OP, you’re late to the party. Everyone’s left except that drunk guy in the corner talking to himself.
Without bloom I think the game will be completely unbalanced. Reach is already unbalanced, but I don’t think removing bloom is going to fix that. Nerfing grenades and weapons might fix that.
That looks like a fun game to play!

I can partly agree with this.
No bloom is unbalanced for default slayer like it was shown in that video.
Why? because default movement is way too slow, but if no bloom becomes only avaible in playlists with 120% moving speed, getting a 5sk will be hard to achieve, because of the strafes that can be done at that speed.

Haven’t really caught up to things, have you?
Simply nerfing grenades and weapons won’t change the horrible game mechanics Reach has. Bloom, armor abilities, and the melee system ruin Reach, not the effectiveness of weapons or grenades.
Bloom in its current state allows the shot to land anywhere inside the reticle, even when it is fully bloomed. This adds and unnecessary random factor to precision weapons, which have never been apparent in Halo CE and 2, and had only minimal effects in Halo 3. Basically, with the amount of bullet magnetism in-game, players can actually be rewarded for spamming their shots close - mid range, making pacing less optimal. If you see top 5% onyx players or MLG pros play they will utilize the effectiveness of spamming to their advantage by spamming 3 or 4 shots into the body and put the remaining in the head. That being said, precision weapons are more optimal as spray and pray weapons. Every precision weapon in Halo CE to 3 has always focused solely on precision and accuracy, whereas Reach’s precision weapons rewards luck and bad cadence.
Armor abilities completely break the fundamentals of the golden triangle that made Halo unique, simplistic, and addictive. They also are crutches for bad players to lean on whenever they can’t outplay others by using their raw gun skill and map coordination. There’s no more to be said about it.
The no-bleed-through system was an absolutely horrible method of removing the AR + melee rush in Halo 3. Say someone can’t aim to save their lives, and always rushes someone and melees to get kills. In any other Halo game besides Reach, the player will get punished for not focusing on gun gameplay and blindly rushing in to an enemy player, provided that the enemy player can aim. In Reach, however, the player will actually gain an advantage with his poor, rash decisions. As long as he can get within lunge range of the enemy player without getting his shields down, he can bring the fight to an even playing field, even when he should have just been punished for a bad play. Now players can focus more on melees than gun play an still be able to “outplay” others.

Agreed, I hear only a few playlists will get that no bloom fix, but if anyone had played classic slayer, it wasn’t as great as people said it was, and its obvious if you look at the amount of players playing it.
We just have to wait for the title update and Beta Hoppers playlist to come out in october, to actually make a full assesment.
