Halo should NOT have a battle royal mode it doesn’t belong in halo and halo doesn’t need a battle royal what halo needs is ALL the missing content traditional halo game modes like forge co op ect and missing iconic weapons like the smg the fuel rod canon the plasma rifle the dmr the odst smg ect. And more maps more than 2 even if you have to bring back some classics like last resort we want a traditional halo game not another free to play battle royal the is flooded with 12 year olds and cheaters

While I agree that Infinite needs all of those things, why not also have a battle royal? It’s being developed by a different team so it won’t take any resources away from classic area and btb. It’s kinda one of those “best of both worlds” scenarios, br fans get a br, classic fans get classic. Time will tell if it really works like that but I’m optimistic.

Not sure we need yet another thread for this.
But I agree… we certainly don’t need a Fortnite clone…
But I have no problem with a Halo game that has BR elements. We already have games with limited lives and/or closing boundaries. And they all felt like Halo.
I’m really looking forward to Last Man Standing in S2 for example. Sounds like a lot of fun.
As for the big one coming. It’s by Certain Affinity. So you know it’s going to be Halo.

And now it begins… the purge.
Halo players will stick to regular modes, while the Battle Royale fans will finally leave our matches and exclusively play the BR mode.
We will be free of the children that cause us to have teammates that leave as soon as they die twice.
Free of the mic spammers.
Finally… inner peace.
The only concern I have is… what of the cosmetics? Will taunts and dances join the mix, wasting space in the store and the battle pass?

If I start a project with 50 people, then 2 years before launch I get to add another 50 people to the project, but those 50 people are assigned to another area, then potential resources have been taken away from the first part of the project.
I wouldn’t be so frustrated if we were a couple of really stellar seasons in and then they announced a BR, but its mind boggling that a BR took priority over additional man-power to ship Co-Op, Forge, or even more maps at an earlier window to get the base game in much better shape.

I never liked or agreed with battle royal but to be honest. What has 343I got to loose?
The game isn’t getting any better. How could they make it worse?
