Hi all! Just bought MCC today.
There’s no audio in game?
Similar things happened to me, just restart your pc and it should be good.
I don’t have any audio in halo 2 classic or campaign, and I can’t find a way to fix it.
Though I’m on Xbox.
I have restarted. It does not work though.
I am having the same problem with no audio. The iconic halo intro music plays until I press enter to go into the menu. At that point, all audio stops. None in menus. None in game. Zero audio. That is, until I exit to desktop. When I exit the game, the music plays for a split second until the app closes.
Anyone else experiencing the same? Anyone have a fix yet?
Same issue here

UPDATE:
I found a fix that works in my situation.
I am using the Steelseries Arctis 7 headset. With the game running, I opened the Windows (10) sound settings and checked the “choose your audio output device” drop down. It was set to “Headphone (Artictis 7 Game)”, as it should. I changed it to “Steelseries Arctis 7 Chat”, and sound came back. I could hear the Halo music playing again. I then changed the output back to “Arctis 7 Game” and the sound kept working just fine. I have to do this every time I play halo, so its annoying, but at least it’s playable now.
hey OP did you ever fix the problem. If not I might have solution.
Has anyone resolved this? I have audio in Halo 3, in menus, and anywhere except Halo 2. I was thinking of uninstalling, but I’d rather not if there is a simpler fix. I’m on Xbox.
Hey there MidasRift,
On Xbox and PC there are known audio issues when it comes to H2A. If you think your issue is new or different, you could always submit a ticket to support here: https://support.halowaypoint.com/hc/en-us
If your on PC, I would try to “Verify Files” to see if you are missing anything. You can do that here: Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files that could possibly fix your issue.
Happy Gaming!

just a heads up none of the fixes work do not believe any of them seriously.
HEY i found something that semi works for ARCTIS 3 Bluetooth … i had to switch my Bluetooth audio playback device from stereo to hands free … it sounds terrible but at least there’s something … im not sure how to make it so that the higher fidelity playback device the default one , any ideas?
I suspect that everyone on PC who is having this problem is using a Bluetooth Headset. For whatever reason, games that utilize Xbox Live such as Sea of Thieves and Halo: Master Chief Collection won’t work past the login screen if your audio output is on “Headphones” but will work for “Headset”. This is due to some weird mixup between the game thinking it should use the “phone” properties of the headset over the “headphones”. Anyways, I copied and pasted the solution here from another forum:
1 - connect speaker to windows
2 - select bluetooth speaker as windows speaker device in windows by clicking on speaker bottom right of the desktop screen, next to the wifi icon, and then click on volume slider to make some ding sounds
3 - go in “Devices and printer” from the “old” control panel (press Windows key + R, then type “control”), find your bluetooth device’s name, right click on it, and select “Properties”
4 - in the “Services” tab, uncheck “Handsfree telephony”. Apply.
5 - Launch the game
Hopefully it works for you like it did for me
I don’t know if anyone still needs this info on this thread but I was having the same issues. Launch the game, hear the intro music, once past login screen no audio anywhere on PC. I actually did everything @ShortCoffee246 suggested with the Bluetooth because I recently purchased a wifi card. If you go into Halo PC Audio Settings there was no recommended audio device… scrolled to my Hyper Clouds’… save changes… boom audio came back! Hope this is another option for people who are still having issues.
@ConductedMovie3 Thank you, I was at a loss of what to do. Normally am pretty good at troubleshooting issues like this, but this was the first time I felt nearly hopeless. I had already been in the audio settings in the game a few times, but I didn’t know that it required saving your settings before the game would use the option that was selected. I was previously selecting my device in the menu from default to my headphones waiting for some sort of audio, but I was getting absolutely nothing.
Nothing outside of the game itself did anything to bring back audio, only the in-game audio menu worked. I also have never had this issue before and it seemed fairly random… That being said anyone still having issues try the above method and make sure to back out and save to hear the results.
