for those who post any unhalo related is risking themselves getting banned or perma banned like i once did and am never post any fake information about halo xbox one. i would like to show what last year of april fools topic i made but i lost it, it would be nice if the monitor team finds it so i can show people i did wrong.
To be fair though, I am extremely disappointed 343i had nothing April Fools related. Bungie was always good for sneaking something legit and new into their April Fools jokes somewhere. Like remember the Halo 3 April Fools that had the guy walking around with a bunch of forgeable AIs? Then right at the very end we got a quick glimpse of Sandbox for the first time ever?
It’s all serious business at 343i and Bungie atm.

It is a good thing they did not do anything. Why would they want to anger a fan base that goes berserk over the sound of a pinhead hitting the floor?

So much this. A lot of the Halo community (heck, even gamers in general these days) are so terribly sensitive to everything now. Not to mention, I imagine 343’s probably EXTREMELY busy. Halo 5 needs to be better than Halo 4, period. That’s a WHOLE lotta pressure. And with some gamers, Halo 5 needs to be better than even Halo 3 or CE before they’re willing to buy another Halo game.
Titanfall may have paved the way by giving people a really good reason to own a One, but I’m thinking that Microsoft is now looking to Halo 5 to take it the rest of the way.

Or when Bungie made a “Vidoc” the year of Reach, and throughout the whole video they’re making a big deal saying “we’ve worked very hard on this and are very excited to finally reveal it”, then shows a bunch Sangheili and Spartans on a giant chess board.
It’s pretty lame how 343i completely neglected April Fool’s Day. What made Bungie was its level of interactivity with its fans, going so far as to pull some really elaborate pranks on their community. I know 343i could have conjured some hilarious Halo related pranks. Ignoring it just seems corporate of them.

I was SO HAPPY when Halo Chess became a real gametype.
I always loved Bungies sense of humor.
It’s too bad not enough of the fanbase can return sometimes.
Anyways I think MS has cornered itself on the H2 Anniversary hype. Joking might just stretch it too far.
