No Announcer

Lately I’ve been playing, and I’ve noticed that I can no longer here the announcer, is this a bug, or did I mess up a setting somehow. Either way what can I do to get the announcer back, Halo isn’t quite Halo with no announcer.

The announcer still talks for me!

Have you tried deleting your Disc Two data (War Games & Spartan Ops 1.0) and reinstalling them to your console?

I had the same problem with one of my other games. The problem is that either your disk is somehow scratched somewhere, causing no audio to be heard, OR your cables are messed up. If you can hear fine in other aspects of gameplay that don’t have the announcer, than the problem is the disk itself.

My sister ran into this problem, and all she did was fix the cables by plugging them into the right spot on the back of the television. (Please note that she had the same experience. She heard everything for a while before the sound, except for combat, quit on her.)

It might be because you have music on in the Xbox music player on pause.

I’ve tryed reinstalling disc 2, I’ve checked the cables, restarted it multiple times, and the announcer is gone as well as certain sounds i can’t hear.

If it is the disc how can i fix it?

Then it’s got to be your disk…If sound works in other games, it’s the disk.

Your best bet would be to swap it out for a new version…Sorry but it sounds like you’ve scratched your disk.

Is it possible to repair it?
I know it could be done for pc games.

Did you install your Disc 1 on the console as well? If so, then a scratched disc shouldn’t make much of a difference in this case, right?

Some video game stores offer a disc repair service. Depends how bad it is tho.

I don’t think so, You think that if I borrowed a good disc and installed it, it would fix it?

It should!

You can also delete your disc two data, load up Halo 4 and it will prompt you to download them via the internet rather than using the disc.

First try just straight installing your current disk 1 if you haven’t already.

I just tried it, says it can’t read it, so i guess the disc is the culprit, now to fix it…
