Just stop. You are not helping yourself or anyone else.
I’m a little confused, you just “argued” my point by stating the point I was making back to me
So again if aim assist is an “overall” problem separate from crossplatform/input play, what would removing crossplatform/input play achieve for the “overall” aim assist problem other than isolated dissatisfaction with aim assist with other isolated players dissatisfied with aim assist?
“Maybe both” how?
If you can see it working in a logical way, explain how to someone who is skeptical. I’d be apt to support a change if it was theoretically functional. However “just giving it a try” without a rational reason why seems like trying to shoehorn through change for unrelated issues.
When I say “transitioning” I mean hypothetically does AA change between Crossplay (input/console)/segregated play? Would AA become stronger when you play with hypothetically only the console/input of the player’s choice or would the mechanics stay in place between modes? What compensations (or lack there of) would be introduced?
I’ve already discussed the “objective truth of human anatomy” and examples of how mechanical advantages can be subverted and defeated by artificial factors (AA being one of them), so give that a look over once more. Stronger AA may actually be a detriment to player retention with the focus on Crossplay.
As for cheating, while a conversation can occur further on this I don’t see how it’s relevant to the AA discussion as Crossplay is.
There are always aim assist everywhere and those Halo Twitch streamers are no different due to their cheating.
You’re posting ad homs instead of arguing against the content I posted. You’re the issues here, my guy
So as I suspected, another proof the game was designed around Esports.
If nobody cares about casual, then they could give the option of legacy aim-assist as option in casual.
They could also reintroduce all the other legacy weapons to casual because that would also make the game more fun.
Input based matchmaking would be nice. But there are so few KBM players I don’t think the population would appreciate having mostly bot matches or excessively long queue times.
So whats the proof again? Because I see around 10 casual playlist and 1 ranked. None of you guys are making any sense.
First, things don’t have to be mutually exclusive. The current aim assist in Halo Infinite can and most like is affected by some of the cross-play issues. Indeed, did 343i even test aim assist with a controllers on a PC… Second, there is a crude but very effective technique for diagnosing a problem, isolating the systems. Disabling cross-play between PC and consoles could provide a major benefit in locating and resolving the causes of these aim assist issues, be it mouse & keyboard, controllers, a combination of both, human anatomy, and/or something else.
Once all this is nailed down (what some might call the process of validation), then with some degree of confidence we could move on to your “transitioning” phase.
In either case, as it stands now, whether it is aim assist or cross-play, Halo Infinite is not fun to play.
The other proof is in the weapon balance.
Having more casual modes is expected, since it is an arena shooter. However, what Infinite offers is a shadow of what is available in MCC.
Then we have monetisation. HCS has it’s whole own shop with more slots. But they can’t break their design to add more slots to the main shop?
what ? the fact that you have a stick for movement and thus you are able to do short strafes or “lagstrafes” etc more efficient is the movement advantage, having a finer controll of direction then aswd is a movement advantage , some techniques are not possible on a mnk wich is probably the reason that esports is mainly done on controller ( ans also people are used to it ). thats talking about mcc. i didnt play much infinite i am mainly talking from a classic halo perspective. summit whoever can stay in CS and there a re a lot of different opinions out there . but the aim advantage for mnk is real simply with a bit of training i hit my shots better then on controller. also what is up with my profile ? my stats are fine or are you talking about post history , what are you taking of my profile that i am not knowing what i am talking about ? i did play classic halo easpacially halo 3 ( X360 days did start though with ce on pc maybe thats one of the reasons i have no big issiues) very competitvly back then and i hop evry now and then onto mcc largely casual but i dont sweat much playing against 50s ( ofc talking here pure from 1v1 engagment , when playing in teams there is the thing of weapon and map controll etc ) fact ia bullet magnetism is the same. so bullets are not magically not bending when using mnk track and reticle slowdown is the main difference. i think that most complains come from players like CS where the killtimes are fast , most aim work comes from either flicks or reticleplacement and tracking is limited. they switch to halo and suddently have to lead and predict , track their targets while at the same time evade enemy fire. on the market there isnt really a shooter that plays like halo , even if we compare arena shooters , most are a lot more faster paced with again a different skill set that classic halo needs.
weapon balance? Literally everything in the game is good regardless of how you play…
Yeah you literally don’t understand M&K vs controller.
I completely disagree. Aim assist in previous Halo titles was nothing more then a slow down of the response curve as your crosshairs neared it’s target.
Infinites aim assist is legit aim bot. It’s so strong that it’ll actually pull your crosshairs away if two enemies are standing side by side. It also provides zero slowdown as you near your target which is why over aim is extremely common and aiming in general feels like hot garbage.
Halo has no aim assist…? We’re still claiming this?
Just gonna leave this here, again…

I agree with your vid 99.9%. But you’re walking back and fourth with a stationary player as well. The aim assist has much less factor when you start going up into the higher ranks. But I also agree, something should be done to make M&K compete with controller players who have been playing for 20 years lol.
Not sure what you mean by a stationary player…? I clearly show the game tracking the enemy without me even touching the right stick while both characters are moving, that’s not being stationary.
Maybe you didn’t watch the at 23 minutes?
You were aiming at a stationary player. Now put Lucid or Royal 2 at the other end of the screen and you’re not hitting anything.
Agreed. The aim assist is terrible. Why on earth can’t we have aim assist options like every other fps out there?
It is 2022.
I feel the same way as u, i don’t feel like playing because until they add aim assist options
I can’t believe the alternate reality you guys live in
Talk about missing the point…
