no aim-assist/magnetism weapon (Experimental)

hi all:
as we know halo1 create an new era to console fps because halo have special aim-assist。
its works very perfect right now. but still have some disadvantage。
eg.
its works very well when you in 1 vs 1 situiation. but not work very well when you facing 2 enemies and they are very close to each other.
in this situiation you may point wrong player which you not want to aim because the aim-assist.

i think maybe some weapon could disable aim-assist, or we could turn off aim-assist in options.

thanks.

Improved!? How in any way is that improved? Do you know how hard it would be to get kills with that? Unless you’ve got a really good aim, you would label it as the worst gun in the game.

I under stand the issue and see that some times u do get pulled to another player when they cross over etc but, no aim assist? I’m not sure how that’d work out

H5 has very little aim assist from what I see and hear, it’s the magnetism that bothers people and certain weapons have huge hitboxes to make it easier for head shots.

Also, I think magnetism and such is required in fps games because it equals out many things. It’s supposed to help out if you lag, it helps newcomers to the game feel more welcomed (cuz no ones going to put time into a hard game these days), ect ect. I think it’s fine as is with aim assist, just lower magnetism and get hitboxes switched up.

It’d be better to take off aim assist with the AR but make it more powerful to compensaTe for the harder aiming.

Or just lower the aim assist or bullet magnetism of all automatics to make them a bit more equal to precision weapons.

i means that in warzone have lots of Improved edition of weapons, some kinds of weapon which you may use it once and never use it again, but it could fullfill Everyone’s taste.

I think the aim assist is necessary unless you’re using a mouse and keyboard.

So a variant of the BR without aim assist? OK, I would never use it but I guess it could be a pretty fun weapon.

that’s what i means, do not change any weapon existed, but add new kinds of ar with no-aim assist in warzone would be nice option.

I think its more like, Halo 5 doesn’t have very much Aim assist at range. When fighting in close quarters, I notice a lot of aim assist… that or reticle magnetism, where the reticle sticks to the target aggressively.

If you want to see how hard it is to have no aa or mag do a custom game were everyone is on the same team and try to kill eachother, you wont have a fun time

The game already has minimal aim assist as is without it and the game would be to hard for the inexperienced fps

@Shadowangel
“…huge hit boxes” is an understatement. I don’t mind the reticule assist (OK, I need it), Halo weapons are far more difficult to aim than a real weapon. But c’mon, when the UNC sniper hit box (hit box+magnetism) around a guys head is 3.5ftX3.5ft, reality is out the window. Just watch the latest Skilltacular:Winter Harmony vid, the guy sniping the ledge on Harvest was missing by what I estimate to be the virtual equivalent of 2.5ft. Yay, here’s your headshot medal. Even if alien “plasma” physics allow for this, the UNC weapons should be realistic or call them air burst/guided rounds- at least DARPA is actually working on those.

anyone not wanting aim assist at all, just go into octagon with a friend, be on the same team, and try 1v1 like that. in the long run if you practice this enough you will be amazing at accuracy once you get aim assist back, but you will see just how difficult it is to hit each other.

unless for some reason you get like an anti aim assist where it pushes the reticle away from teammates, in which that is why it would be harder. that idk. maybe someone else does

Its called every weapon when playing from EU. I rarely get aim assist, kinda surprised when I feel it kick in sometimes.

The aim assist is critical. Try shooting one of your teammates where its off, preeeeety tough to get that headshot.
