Why is there no acknowledgement of top gameplay issues like aim on both controllers and keyboard and mouse?
Controllers have messed up deadzones (which can be mostly adjusted by setting to extremes) and messed up aim assist on the pistol (especially when it gets out of range, which is basically just out of shotgun distance).
Mouse and keyboard have limiting area of movement, like your boxed in on the screen kind of.
And every btb veteran has stated how non br starts is going to be a huge issue on btb maps.
Listen to your player base! We love halo and are giving input to make it succeed.

I think it was intentional as well. There is just a lot of issues that come from doing that though. No aim assist on controllers for the pistol will lead to heavy domination by mouse and keyboard at normal engagement distances.
Then you have the ar being overly versatile because lack of a starting weapon preforming at range.
Then in btb this just becomes an even larger issue as you have to ar across a map or run to get a better weapon, hopefully before a teammate grabs it or you run into somone with a br.

I’m sure the team is preparing a response to player provided feedback after the flight is over. They did this for the first flight. It was detailed, well thought out and gave players expectations about when the issues they raised will likely be fixed. Right now they’re likely working to ensure the next flight weekend is solid.
Remember they love Halo too, respect our feedback and want to give that feedback the space and thought it needs.

That is a good point. The flight for this weekend does take prep.

Give it a little time. The flight just wrapped. They’re digesting the data and feedback now and we’ll see if/when they address it. Maybe we’ll get something short form this Thursday or it could take another week or so.
But I agree, acknowledgment of the issues should happen regardless if they’re going to fix them, aware, or its intentional.
A lot of times, people want instant feedback. If they acted on that every time, you’d have a much bigger mess. The silver lining is this is a technical preview and so this is the intent. It’d be a lot worse if this was in the launch game which is what we’re trying to avoid.

I’m hopeful about BtB, looking at the layout of the map there are lots of cover options, vehicles, equipment and weapons to explore. I think it will be fine, but we shall see early on if the BR and Commando are too dominant.

The boxed-in screen thing was an issue in Summer, they had months to fix it and it showed up again. I don’t have much hope that they’ll fix it before Friday

the dmr made vehicles husless since you got peppered from evrywhere immediatly in btb, plus it depletes shield son vehicle hit. most skirmishes were long range and spawn camping was alot more common, its worse in reach and h2a because they are hitscan and there was less reason to get power weapons since evryone opted for long range engagments, magnum and ar turned into paperweights that were never used too, h3 was slightly more bearable because you had to lead shots but it was still annoying as you just cant go into the open with dmr/br start, AR forces you to get up close and you tend to see the use of power weapons and other gear more so and have more wight in a fight

Vehicles were definitely not useless. I do prefer halo 3 and 4 for vehicle balance though. Those all had br starts as well.
And yes, you cannot run into the middle of the map with an AR and expect a good outcome. It is a short to mid short weapon, and not a mid range weapon.
What will happen with an AR start though in btb, is the winning team will have picked up br and other weapons, and the losing team will have to try to compete with an AR or run to a weapon spawn that will be getting camped or a teammate already took.

with ar start the odds of you getting immediatly picked off when you move through an open area are far less, yea there may be one or 2 but not evry player, h3 and reach didnt have br start till mcc, and it works better because vehicle hits arnt directly tied to shields in h3, the sidekick melts at alot of ranges and when closer outpaces the br in the current balance so there is some defence, ar start just means your not hugging cover eternally because youl be picked off from multiple angles the moment you break from it.
i rarely had issues of spawn camping with ar start back in the day, and there are tactics and map design to avoid this, br start tends to cause this more if one team gets the upper hand its easier to pin a team in the spawning areas simply because it meant an entire team would be armed with precision weapons compared to only afew

I think you are not realizing weapon pick up on map still enables the winning team to pin you down on the map. That will not change. What will is your ability to fight back with a weapon to counter the commando, sniper, or br. If you run to a weapon spawn you may get killed before you do because it will be camped. If you make it there a teammate (or enemy) is likely to have taken it.
Br starts help game flow and keep teams from being spawn pinned.

did you play reach or h3 back on 360 when they were out as ar start was the norm, the spawn camping your concerned about rarely happened and was more down to vehicles than having a br, not to mention if the ar is as good as evryone claims then you should stand a chance in your senario, ontop of that the sidekick is very strong atm even against commando and br players

The flight is still ongoing, so why would they address anything until after it is finished and they have all the data? Give them time to evaluate and develop a solution if they feel one is needed.
