Things probably look pretty bleak going forward.
343i had zero presence at the Xbox Showcase this year, meaning nothing significant ready to show coming to Halo Infinite in the near future.
Sad times indeed.
No showing of this Certain Affinity BR mode, no new map trailer, no promo of that TV show, nothing halo related at all (outside of a pelican coming to MS Flight Sim).
Sure, maybe they wanted to keep focus on Starfield and the Kojima reveal. But still, no little teaser for the mode, no look at anything upcoming, no Halo at all at a flagship xbox event…
When Overwatch, which isn’t even officially yet acquired by Microsoft, makes an appearance at an official Microsoft event but Halo doesn’t?
Yeah that’s a very bad sign.
I had very high hopes that 343i would pull through with the initial overwhelming success of the title back in November especially compared to Battlefield and CoD, but at this point it’s clear that there are no brakes on this seemingly out of control train.
It’s looking like the best we can hope for is a salvage of what’s left when a year rolls on by.
Also, unrelated but Starfield looks terrible.
Its like some kinda cross between No Mans Sky and Star Citizen but its single player and using the same engine as fallout 4. Looks clunky as.
Hard to sink in.
The studio Microsoft created, initially. To carry on and maintain their flagship, original console launching title, Halo. Had absolutely nothing new to offer at a major press event.
Just thinking back, this time last year. Staten was on stage showing off the game. We had a multiplayer trailer and details on the flights. And in less than 8 months after launch it feels stone cold, dead in the water.
We all went ape over that energy sword weilding Tenurai spartan at the end of the trailer. It was so hype, compared to now.
I don’t think Starfield looked that bad,
Hopefully if the game happen to be terrible but have mod support for both PC and Console it will probably turn out like Skyrim or Fallout 4 (games were barebones and broken but with mods they can be turned into the best rpg games out there)
A lot of companies go on to make other games outside of the ones they’re known for. For the gripes I’m seeing of Starfield, I’d rather see new branches form into new franchises than growing off of existing branches forever.
This is effing sad i was whaiting 2 for this day with so much hope i even marked the day hoping they would follow true for us the fan base but like all ways 343 disapoints every time im done done with this game 6 month for 2 maps zero fixes on a anti cheat , desync ,rank , shot registration and more really u could had showed us atleast a trailer or forge something but im done for real …

I assumed the lack of weekly updates on waypoint and no communication since season 2’s launch implied they had something brewing for this showcase, literally a year on since they were there last year.
I had assumed they were “going dark” on us now for this big reveal of whats being done.
I was wrong.
They just update/ talk when they have a new season pass to sell us, and then just do very little…
Ranked changes, yay…
That is literally all we have to go on.
No road map, no word on previously mentioned issues. No more weekly updates…
It feels dead.
