Nitpicky thing about Blue Team opening

There’s a nitpicky thing for me in the opening to the Blue Team mission opening. Blue Team comes smashing through the window, and the Sangheili rush at them and then get sucked out into space, while Blue Team activates their suit’s mag boots. My nitpicky thing is, wouldn’t the Sangheili have the same thing? They’re technologically superior to us, and you’d think they’d have the same thing in the suits. Just my 2 nitpicky cents, what do you think?

Not necessarily.
An ranger would maybe habe mag-boots,as they operate in space, but an Sangheili thats normally is deployed on an planets surface dont need them.

it’s been awhile since I’ve seen the cutscene. I think they also activate their jets (but I could be wrong).

I just figured it was because Blue Team was prepared for this kind of an incursion. I always just assumed that no one was really prepared for Blue team to show up and the same thing would have happened even if it was a group of Spartans that Blue Team burst in on.
Another thing I’ve also assumed is that many of the extremist Covenant splinter groups aren’t as well equipped or financially backed as the Covenant was. They’re mostly dangerous because of their fanaticism and terrorism rather than their ability to stand up to the full might of the UNSC or the the Sangheili Fleet.

But I really don’t know. lol. ( )

It’s strange, as every Spartan has that feature with their armor. You’d think all Sangheili armor would be equipped as well.

That’s true, they don’t have as much money as SoS and other groups, but being technologically superior to us, you’d think they’d have that feature in all their armor systems.

lol. that’s true. maybe the space station was in worse shape than everyone thought, and the safety shutters should have closed a lot faster than they did.

MJLONIR is also completely enclosed against vaccum and external contaminants. Sangheili combat harness’s, for the most part, are not.
Not to mention that each suit of MJOLNIR, at least during the depths of the War, cost as much to make as a small starship. Whereas standard combat harnesses are far cheaper and meant for the use of the masses, rather than specific special operators.
Cost, function, and the Covenant honor system are things to remember after all. Adding in a feature that might only be useful in certain situations would probably raise the cost of the suit of armor higher than the Covenant can, at the current time, sustain.

I would agree. Spartans operate within a suit of armour that is capable of operating in all environments to some capacity. So the inclusion of mag boots is a given, since as we saw with that same opening scene they could engage in unconventional forms of insersion/ extraction or changes in mission environment.
The Elites armour while still serving as protection also had a degree of ceremonial aire to its design. So certain add on like mag boots would be seen as unessasary if the wearer didn’t particularly want it. Also I think Covenant attitude and arrogance may have played a part.
