The carbine needs a buff. It by far the weakest precision weapon in the game.

IMO it should be a 7sk, and the clip size should be expanded to at least 20.

I use the Carbine almost all the time and I say this from experience: in its current state, the Carbine is almost useless.

Exactly. In it’s current state, you have to be better than your enemy to kill them. Against anybody of even skill, you cannot directly challenge without help from a team-mate because the other rifles are just better (especially DMR)

I alternate between the DMR and the battle rifle, depending on the size of the map, the light rifle was really confusing for me to use, and I am not use to it

I concur.

The carbine looks good and sounds great! One of my favourite sounding weapons in the gams. I love using it in Spartan Ops, but it would be nice if it were a bit stronger with a bigger magazine, in MP anyway…

Agreed. It has a lot of potential to be the go-to weapon when you’re backed against a corner especially now that the DMR’s ammo has been reduced but it’s low damage is holding it back.

I think it was implemented more as a bridge between assault rifle and BR. An almost full auto headshot weapon. Bring back the way I used to be able to just hold my trigger down and let her rip! At mo it feels a little underpowered cos of how many shots NEED to hit. Full auto and faster fire rate with bigger mag would help I think. Hell it’d be my go-to gun for small engagements again.

It’s not that the carbine needs a buff, it’s actually the fact that the DMR needs to be toned down. Valhalla plays nothing like it did in Halo 3 because the DMR just halts all possible map movement.

It’s even worse now that anyone can choose to be camo right off the spawn.

IMO the DMR should’ve been left in that one garbage game called “Don’t remember Reach”.

I agree the Carbine is really useless.

I was behind an enemy and shot him in the back of the head 4 times before he even started firing and he killed me with the dmr in about 4-5 shots while i was still firing at him.

The Carbine was my go-to weapon of choice for Halo 2. It was also good in Halo 3. In Halo Reach (obviously) it was absent.

Now we have it back in Halo 4. It’s terrible 343. Fix it, or at least tone down the damage and range of the DMR.
