I watch all five episodes of halo nightfall and still don’t have the armor

Same topic different question… To get the armor you have to watch all 5 parts, however it tells me to purchase the movie to watch it, rather I load from MCC or Halo channel. I already own the DVD so why do I need to purchase it to get the armor??

Because you can’t grant entitlements to DLC from a DVD without physically printing codes to be bundled or haveing them printed on receipts (both of which are easily lost), you need a way to link up your gamertag which the app provides.

My gamertag is linked to Halo channel. When I open it on Xbox one it says welcome back animegirlsrsexy, & when I go to nightfall it says purchase to watch. If I have to buy it again to get get the armor then screw it. i dont need another copy of nightfall, I already have 2! The disc & VuDu digital copy.

So basically 343i is telling me to pay $20 for this “cool armor” to use in Halo 5 & get another copy of this Crappy movie about a crappy character in Halo 5 for free?!

Yes your gamertag is linked, but there’s no way for a DVD to know that or be aware of that. It can’t interact with your account in any way, unlike the app which will be able to communicate with your account to unlock the DLC.
The armour in question is in the general REQ pool for Halo 5 though, so you can unlock it by playing the game and opening REQ packs
