Its not a great name. I will allow 343 to do that.
But the gist of the game is that it is very dark and visibility is very low. Spartans would have to rely on flashlights, or a special type of vision, like on Reach to see. You can’t see the enemy teams GT until they are in your sight.
I think this would be a cool gametype because it really tests you reflexes, forces the player to be extra cautious and might cause some jump scares, as spartans end up running into each other.
I know some might not like it but that would be something really cool. At least for me.
If 343i adds flashlights to multiplayer and possibly allow players to change the lighting of forge maps, maybe this could be a custom gametype as opposed to a default gametype.
Overall I love the idea, although it would be really cool if 343i could give the players the tools to create what your describing.
The one thing I want for this game is to introduce a few (or just one) new playable character models in non-ranked gametypes. Such as, the ODST. Use the hindered physical physics from H3 ODST and then implement Night Swat into an ODST only playlist.
Then have it ODSTs vs. ODSTs and play it through VISR, on night variants of multiplayer maps just like were in ODST firefight.
