“It’ll be a heck of a magic trick if he (the Arbiter) can keep them (Sangheili keeps) together once the Covenant is out.”
Basically, we still could have Sangheili troops to fight in later Halo games, this time as feuds between kingdoms on Sanghelios. It’ll be much like the wars we have IRL today.
My question is, however, why would the UMSC possibly get involved with it if wars do break out? Other than to support their bro, Mr. Arby, they would have no reason to intervene in wars between keeps. Granted, this is all conjecture.
What do you think? Will we fight more Sangheili in later games as parts of minor wars across Sanghelios?
Possibly, although they seem to be stressing “The Banished” alot lately. Especially since Halo Wars 2 takes place after Halo 5.
There should be Halo game that is about Sanheili politics. Like parts of Sword of Sanheilios does not like cooperation and involvement with human and having conflict between Arbiter and anti humans.
Read the books you can easily tell what’s going to happen next
Considering the UNSC didn’t even want to get involved with the civil war on Sanghelios…
We still have the Created to deal with, which will most likely be the joint Covenant Remnant - Promethean alliance we sort of saw under Jul 'Mdama all over again.
If you read item descriptions in Halo 5, a lot of them talk about how they were joint projects between humans and Sangheili with the Swords of Sanghelios passing down some of that sweet alien high-tech knowledge.
It’s also nice to be on a technologically advanced race’s good side.
Honestly, if there are no more elites, I’m done. Promethean’s are one of the worst enemies to fight, they look like they came right out of Tron.
Also oni gives guns and supplies to both sides already. So what stopping them now.

Which one in particular?
Probably the Kilo-Five trilogy, I could be wrong, I’m almost done with all the books now…
Suppose this gives me a good reason to hit up the local bookstore.

I love how 343 pick and choose when to follow the lore. The sanghelli have gone from knowing f all to being masters of knowledge in 8 years after the true covenant’s collapse. The fact that they’ve gone from not being able to look after themselves to running joint projects is a joke. 343 have no concept of logistics and infrastructure. Of course i’m taking it probally far to seriously but still it annoys me.

Thinking about it, I have to agree. I always thought the Elites were more “muscle and honor” than technologically advanced. Sure they have the tech, but not knowledge how to reverse engineer it and improve it. Always figured that was the San’Shyuum’s doing, using information they gathered from Forerunner tech.
The Arbiter seems to be turning the Sangheili culture on it’s head, though. Enlisting woman, having a sort of science division, etc. Without the Prophets to fill in the gap of technological advancement, I guess they figured they had to do it themselves. Giving the UNSC some tech and working with them to co-opt projects just seems to come with the treaties after the Human-Covenant War.
It will be interesting to see what happens
Latenightgaming said pre halo 5 they wanted to replace elites with brutes they might still be going with this idea and from here on out you fight beside elites taking on hordes of stinking hairy brutes.
I sure hope so… Hate that Halo has evolved from fighting colorful aliens to fighting tron robots.
