Does anyone have a clue what the next update will entail and when it will release?
Aside from official announcements, we can only expect a release every couple of months or so. Even then, a generalized idea isn’t exactly the most reliable thing.
In terms of the contents, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were Halo Wars 2-themed items. It simply makes sense (to me at least).
Not sure when the next update will drop. However, with H6 coming out in holiday 2018, mostly likely, there should be plenty more updates…

Totally plausible on the release date. IMO there will be h5 updates at the rate of two a year.
Probably never. The last one was probably it.
nah, they’ll keep updating it. They won’t want to lose the momentum they’ve finally gained back.

We know at the very least that one more is coming.

The next update might have the Reach Plasma Launcher because there used to be (it might still be there) a grunt that held one in firefight.
343 Industries said they had two more updates planned after Anvil’s Legacy. Monitor’s Bounty was one… don’t know if they anything planned after the next.
But I’d say it’s a safe bet that the next update will arrive either late March or mid-April at the latest, based on the gaps between the last three updates (Warzone Firefight, Anvil’s Legacy, Monitor’s Bounty). Thanks to GameCheat13 we know there are Brute weapons in the works including the Brute Spiker and some kind of sniper rifle. Then of course there’s the unfinished Plasma Launcher, and a 3rd variant of the Halo: Reach Grenade Launcher that has yet to be released.
With all that in mind, and considering the recent release of Halo Wars 2, the next update will most likely be Halo Wars themed and will likely feature new Brute weapons, possibly vehicles, and maybe even new enemies in the form of the Banished for Warzone and Warzone Firefight; or maybe just Brutes mixed in with the current Covenant faction and the other Covenant races (Grunts, Jackals, Elites) changed to look like the Banished.
I hope it’s halo wars 2 themed.
There will be a little bit of an update on March 9. Also that’s when the ranks will be reset. See below!

Updates usually come out around 3 times a year, so If they stick to schedule we should be seeing an update very soon.
The next update will most likely be themed around Halo Wars 2 because it just came out not too long ago as of right now.
They’ll announce which update will be the last, and I’m currently betting with h5 that they’ll do the same thing they did with halo CEA and release an h3 update for h5 multiplayer instead of making a h3a multiplayer. Before people reply yes I know frank said there won’t be any fps titles this year but he said the same thing for H2a. And 343 uses other companies to make the anniversary games and slap their name on it cause it’s their franchise, if h3a happens, saber interactive and certain affinity will make it. If they don’t Microsoft will be missing out on a stupid amount of money this year. H3 is I need of a serious update, the h3 campaign on mcc looked horrible in 1080p and 60fps. I’m just drooling imagining what it’ll look like…
