If you’re reading this, you’ve taken the (click) bait, and now I’d like to share my theory with you.
Halo Wars 2 comes out in February of 2017. I expect the next update to Halo 5: Guardians will come out maybe one or two months after that, and given what has been discovered in Forge- like Brute scopes for UNSC weapons, and unfinished assets like the Spiker- it will be themed around Halo Wars 2.
Here’s what I believe it will probably include:
> 1. New Warzone map set on the Ark. May feature Atriox as a Legendary or Mythic boss.

> 2. Brutes and Banished enemies in Warzone and Warzone Firefight.
>
> 3. New Brute weapons; Brute Spiker is pretty much guaranteed, there also seems to be some kind of Brute sniper weapon in the works.
>
> 4. Banished versions of the Ghost, Wraith, and Banshee.
>
> 5. Possibly brand-new Banished vehicles from Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2. Locust? Vampire?
>
> 6. Brute scopes for UNSC loadout weapons (personally I hope they decide to cut these, we don’t need anymore alien scopes).
>
> 7. More Grenade Launcher & Sentinel Beam variants (there is one other Grenade Launcher variant that we know exists, but has not been released).
>
> 8. Banished-themed Forge items.
>
> 9. All of the 2017 helmets teased in Monitor’s Bounty update preview.
So what do you guys think? Plausible? Probable? Unlikely? You tell me.
The second I saw the title I immediately thought… Atriox as a Warzone boss. It would be unbelievable if they did that. I sincerely hope an update like this does come out, and really don’t think its too far outside the realms of possibility in all honesty. I think it would be unlikely to get all of what you listed in one go, that would be a massive update! But at least some of that like the Ark map, Atriox and the Brute vehicles I could definitely see happening. Would make sense for 343i aswell as it would likely increase interest for Halo Wars 2!

While it is possible I really don’t want to see Atriox as a warzone boss. I would rather they save him for Halo 6. I really don’t want to feel burned out on fighting him. hopefully 343 learned why recycled boss fights stinks for a campaign… unless you don’t mind fighting the same boss over and over and over again…

its cuz they are the same characters from halo wars 1, which took place 28 years before CE or something like that…the entire crew was in cryo for that amount of time once halo wars 1 ended
