I’m not sure this has been said already, but apparently heads of Halo is leaving 343i to work on indie games. With that being said, we can see in the article below that it says the new update will feature a new Warzone map and more.

Huh, cool. Hopefully they decide to actually put effort into this one and have different/unique main bases and a replacement for armouries. It would be nice to see a Covenant or Forerunner-themed Warzone map that doesn’t have ugly white UNSC buildings in it.
This is old news from the CU. Literally everything in the article was talked about in the most recent CU. The map is being made specifically for Firefight.
I’m pretty sure this doesn’t mean that new maps are specifically being made, only that more warzone maps will be put into the firefight playlist.
Darkstar, who’s a 343 employee also mentioned that there will be new Warzone updates as well in a forum post on here. I found it below.
