Next Update Teases from EU Pro League Finals

You thought you’d have to wait until December 6th for more news on the update but think again! The EU Pro League Finals are today and there have been some hints the new content and changes coming in the next Halo 5 update! We’ve seen this happen before, such as the Helioskrill skins, Mk VI Alpha and some weapon skins being revealed in a tournament before Infinity’s Armory released, so all of this content is most likely real and coming in the next update! You excited yet?

/u/TheRandomThrowaway7 on r/Halo created a thread featuring several images from the finals. These images feature a look at three new weapon skins, a new pause menu, and new custom game settings (which TheLittleMoa also shared on Twitter), and confirmation that reticle and aim lag are fixed.

Matty McDee also shared an image on Twitter of a new helmet that looks like Security and Dynast mixed.

I find the new weapon skins both nice and odd. As a Security user, I really like the new helmet and may have to use it for awhile.

5,6,7 is the only good things shown there.

That “other new AR skin” looks pretty good, as well as the Magnum skin that shares a resemblance to the Gears of War 4 “Day of the Dead skins”. The cat AR and the helmet aren’t really doing it for me.

We need more skins for the BR/DMR/SMG rather than just the ARs and Magnums.

I agree. Everyone uses those weapons in Warzone once they are at the required REQ level. Yes, AR/magnum are the starting weapons for almost every Arena and Warzone playlist, but a lot of people play Warzone and would love to see more weapon skins for their guns. Hopefully we’ll get full sets of skins for these themed ones just like the Landgrave and Master Control skins.

The biggest change is the full fireteam being listed. Nothing else pops out.

The CoD community is a lot more creative and skillful with their creation of weapon skins within Black Ops 3 than anyone at 343. It’s hilariously sad TBH.

I’ve always liked the weapon skins in Call of Duty. They were tasteful, and there were a lot of them that were more low-key and simple for those of us who don’t like over the top skins. I wouldn’t have as much issue with these kinds of things if they gave us normal skins, like a black AR or a silver/grey design like the Halo 1,3 and 4 AR. But they only give us super colourful or silly designs.

343i is just way to over the top with everything they do. Their armour designs, skins and everything else… They don’t realize that, sometimes, less is more, and simple is better than crazy.

Love the aim getting worked on, don’t care much for anything else personally but I imagine the new menu/pause screen may appeal to others as well as the weapon skins.

  3. Looks a bit similar to the UNSC AR skin without the red highlights. Dunno if there’s anything else on it, but if not, not interested.
  4. That looks like a combination of Security and Valkyrie than anything else. No clue what this is, but I’m curious as to what the body piece looks like.
  5. UI changes are welcome, so long as they aren’t broken.

  7. Doesn’t concern me in anyway, I don’t care if it’s there or not. If it’s gone, then good for people who pay attention to that stuff.

I think they also have more options for the observer mode. The skins are meh, but I’m glad they’re fixing or improving the reticule lag.

Everything looks good except for the helmet,in my opinion. I’m gonna rock the cat skin and that skull skin.

Their is a pause menu now? Didn’t even know. But hey we have a new one.lol.
Btw how many even knew we had one.
On the skins…well doesn’t bother me. I doubt I will use any of them. Maybe the cotton candy looking one for fun.
The helm idk.
On fixing aim lag… well I can almost hit a braid side of a barn standing in it as it is. So not sure if this will help me much:)
