So assuming 343 keeps the team (for campaign) in Halo 6, who would you like to see?
My dream team would be Chief, Buck, Arbiter and, Linda.
Chief because he is the titular character.
Buck because he’s wise cracking and funny.
Arbiter because he is a badass
Linda because she breaks the all male trend and adds a sniper to the team (and she was always my personal favorite in the books)
Another cool idea is a list of several characters, and you can choose several at the start of a campaign and play through it with them. It could even change the cutscenes and overall story. For instance, maybe Tanaka, Vale, Locke and Fred aren’t able to stop Cortana and it results in a special ending.
I know that might sound confusing and this post is super long so I apologize for that. Although this probably won’t happen, that’d be cool. And for canon just have the default 4 as the canon team.

I give 343i permission to use that idea if they want to without having to give me any compensation or recognition for it and I relinquish all rights to that idea by posting it on this forum.
I really hope they ditch the team mechanic. It was and still is a cool idea, but it’s impossible to properly develop any of the characters. You know there’s a problem when you can’t kill off any of your main characters because none would have a greater impact than another. I think it would be interesting to see a two man team between Chief and Locke, so they could go through a perilous adventure, back to back, while learning to trust each other along the way.

I know, I have been thinking of Half-jaw and found out a book was written by the legend, Joe Staten himself and was super stoked. Now I just want a game on it!

I especially like the book “First Strike” featuring Chief and blue team. That would be an epic game.

The only problem I can envision is that the games would be heavily scripted in some parts, which even the small parts in Halo 4 got tons of flack for.
Also, I would love a contact harvest game, because… you know… Johnson.
Also, also, a book on The Flood, it would be like a Halo: Combat Evolved Director’s Cut Edition.
