Hi! So does anyone have any ideas of who the next antagonist will be? Or maybe who you would like it to be, in the last trilogy it was Truth as he was the one pretty much pulling the strings, even though he did not appear in CE… And then we have Halo 4, we had the Ur-Didact who I am assuming is now dead.
But Halo 5: Guardians releases somewhat soon and I was wondering who will be the next threat? I can’t see Locke being the main antagonist as I think he will side with Chief, my best bet would be ONI at the moment as we don’t know much about the game, but even then I feel like it needs to be something bigger, something that will threat the entire galaxy, what do you all think it will be? ^-^

Is there any proof of him being alive? Looking at the comics he was burnt alive, is there any proper proof that he is 100% alive other then theories of how he could have survived?

Nothing in-universe, but Frankie, Bryan Reed and the Waypoint Universe bio for him all say he’s not completely gone.

Oh right, I see. Was not aware of that.
Oni is going to start a galactic empire and Locke will get robot arms and legs and go from planet to planet forcing people to join the empire. Then you cut to a desert planet where Locke’s son is a farmer with his adopted parents and this old spartan in robes and a cracked visor will show up and save the boy from some desert people. The man says his name is John and he fought in the war.

His exact words were “It will not work on my new form.” This could be interpreted that Composer has an effect on him, just not the one that was intended. Even Chief, who was directly stated to have an “immunity” against Composer, wasn’t unaffected by it. At Ivanoff station Chief avoided getting composed, but he did lose consciousness for a while. At the end of Escalation Didact was under the affect of multiple composers at once, so their effects likely multiplied.
It’s everyone… Jul is going to be antagonist from the Covenant, ONI will an antagonist from the UNSC, Halsey will also be a ‘enemy’ in the aspect I think she will just be adding gas to the fire.
In my opinion I think the next main/side antagonist, at least two of them, will be most of the UNSC, besides a select few that the chief knows and ONI.

…It’s almost scary how much that bit with the Chief lines up with the trailers and what you’re talking about, as well as the ONI creating a galactic empire bit.

Hopefully, if they don’t kill her off in the final issues of Escalation.
I still think the Didact will be the main antagonist in some shape or form with the others being lesser antagonists.
