Next “High Level Update”?

Hey guys,
Does anyone know when we will get the next high level update? I know they said December 17th but that one never happened. And in the inside infinite it said see you all in the new year. Does that mean sometime mid to end January or February, March time? Just curious bc I love getting new halo news lmao

As far as we know that information. Although if i had to guess then a ‘high level update’ will likely happen around the time major gaming events take place (cancelled cause you know, pandemic). It will likely also be like the last one but theres a chance it could be more substantial; we haven’t seen multiplayer gameplay yet and flighting is said to happen this time.
Best option is to wait until an announcement. Id suggest following Halo on twitter and other 3rd parties (the Halo youtubers: Sean W, HiddenXperia, and the like) to get dates and such ASAP.

> I know they said December 17th

Where did you get that because I didn’t know about anything on that date, or at leaset didn’t here anything official that is.

I hope you understand that the “High Level Update” did release here. I’m not sure where you got Dec 17th from at all.
As for when we next get large amounts of information? Who knows. It won’t be anytime soon if that’s what you’re thinking.

On the 5th Jan Unyshek posted on Twitter that the team had just finished their first day back at work on Infinite for 2021. So it’s almost been a month since the last update of the game - half of which the team had as a holiday break.

New information will come in good time. Just need to be patient as everyone else wants news too.

Its absolutely mind boggling that people didn’t understand that…even Halo YouTubers with a LARGE following are still expecting it despite it already being released. Also the confusion on what a ‘High Level’ update is in the tech/gaming/business world isn’t what the general public would associate with it.

I have a vague recollection of reading that their hoping to provide more info this month. I don’t really expect anything substantial until as close to the end of the month as possible if we get anything.

I do think we’ll get a substantial look at MP sometime in the first quarter**,** but that’s based off nothing than my gut.

From what I can tell on the 17th of november news articles started covering that there was going to be a high level update in december. So i’m guessing “Next month” somehow mutated into the exact date next month.

To be honest, the Inside Infinite article is more than I expected from a high level update. I was expecting just a blurb about their plan going forward.

I believe they said monthly updates until release.

From what I remember one of the community managers themselves on Twitter wrote there would have been an update on that date. Dunno why people are given the press and YTubers a hard time if 343i just changed their plans on a whim back than… On the other side, publication plans change all the time. It’s not a big deal either way! :woman_shrugging:t2:

I think we’ll get some more blogs and stuff in these coming months, but I don’t think we’ll get a huge news release (footage, flighting news, etc…) on Infinite until E3-time this year.

I’m just going to quote the December update a few times here…

> We know everyone is keen to see more and we look forward to sharing more in future updates in the months ahead.

> We look forward to sharing more in the coming months.

> I’m really looking forward to sharing more of the team’s work with our community in the months ahead.

I think it’s a safe bet that we will be getting another update in the next couple of months.

Sucks that we were all anticipating a playable demo in July… and got Craig, embarrassing damage control, and a delay.

Yeah, it was cool that Joe stepped up and said a few words in December. The weapon and armor designs looked cool. But those were just renders of metal. Easy to make nice and shiny. We didn’t see any fleshy organisms move around in lighting. And we were fed a bunch of BS trying to spin the MP cash grab in a good light. Not much of a high level update if you ask me.

Typical cycle of content release is around late February to mid March. But being that schedule is way off my best guess a trickle in January and leak in February and a flood in March.

I imagine we’ll get updates every month or so similar to the December update that talks about the games progress and maybe show off some screenshots from campaign and multiplayer. I honestly don’t expect to see gameplay til either e3 or a big Microsoft event similar to the July event last year

Honestly, I don’t know a single person who thought we would get a playable demo. A beta, considering the flu it’s never came out - maybe but with the pandemic the beta seemed unlikely too.

If you’re just looking at the pictures then yes, it’s not much of an update. If you actually read and take into context what is said in that article there is actually a lot of information on what is happening on the technical side of the game, examples of the progress they’ve made and their vision going forward into the new year.

If you were expecting something like a new gameplay demo you’re setting your expectations way too high. There is no way Halo Infinite gameplay will be shown again until it looks and runs very very well. Temper your expectations is the only advice I can give you.

My expectations are very much tempered.

No clue. Would be nice if we could get an update every month, even if it’s just little things and then have a couple bigger ones like at E3 (or around E3 time if it’s still down).

I remember Joe Staten said monthly updates. Going by that, we should get another update this month.

That said, does anyone know what day it will be when you count 343 days backwards starting from Nov. 15 lol? I asked because 343i sometimes likes to plan these days in advance. If that day lands in January, that could be when 343i releases the next update for this month.

I’m pretty sure 343 days back from November 15th, 2021 was the date they released the high level update in December, if I remember correctly.

Edit: I just double checked. 343 days is exactly 49 weeks. And 343 days, or 49 weeks, from the date of the high-level update on December 8th, lands on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021. I’ve been personally predicting November 15th as the release date for Infinite since that will be the 20th anniversary of Halo and Xbox, but maybe this is a hint that November 16th will be the release date instead. It’s all just speculation at the end of the day though.

You got a source for that?

I was thinking that as well. I was thinking we might get another update tomorrow since tomorrow makes exactly one month since the last infinite update but I doubt it, and in that update they said “To close out our first “Inside Infinite” update,” so I’m assuming that is not the only inside infinite update there is gonna be another.
