Getting a second chance to make Halo 5 more similar to every other shooter than Halo 4 was, isn’t gonna make the game better in my opinion. I thought Halo 4 was gonna be so much better than Halo Reach … “Going back to it’s roots” ofc …
That’s not very reassuring since just about anything will be an improvement over Halo 4.
Everything changed from Halo 4-5 will be an improvement but 343 will find a way to screw it up or dumb it down as usual.

You dun goof’d, 343. You didn’t listen to us, you continue to not listen to us, and I’m sick of it. I’m sick of you. You can’t tell me “Trust us!” when you’ve run my favorite franchise into the ground and refused to listen to your community.
You somehow managed to completely burn away all the good will you had with this community, the forge community, and the competitive community…
So no. I’m not going to trust you. I’m not going to buy Halo 5 day-1. I might not even buy it at all. Because right now? You don’t deserve a second chance.
Stop trying to shove my face full of DLC, and actually fix Halo 4. Then we can talk.
At this point there is no assurance 343 could offer me that will entice me to buy Halo 5 at launch. It’s not even guaranteed that I’ll buy the next gen xbox, if this DRM “always on” crap turns out to be true.
I don’t suppose I’m alone when I say, they’re gonna have to do something seriously special to make send another penny thier way.
As it stands with regard to Halo 5, I can barely contain my indifference.
343 could offer me free DLC for life, fly me out to America to meet and have dinner with each member of the company personally then give me every single piece of Halo memorabilia in the history of the world for free and I’d still think twice before buying Halo 5.
At this point, I can play the game. I’m starting to get into it again and I’m enjoying my time getting used to the BR and such. The game right now isn’t the main issue I’m facing.
The problem I have right now is that all through the marketing process of Halo 4 343 basically kept constantly saying ‘Trust us’ and I did, they let me down big time and on top of that I was out a LOT of money with no way to get it back, and while all of the blame doesn’t rest with 343 in that particular area they still gave me a mediocre at best experience with this game.
I seriously hope they fix this game and I seriously hope they can wave a mega magic wand for Halo 5 because I guarantee you with the way things are currently going 343 aren’t going to sell anywhere near the same amount of copies of Halo 5 to beat Halo 4.
Nothing more than merely words. Time will tell. I’m not being bamboozled this time around. This is rather old too…

This is nearly everything I’ve wanted to say about 343. Thank you.
I like Halo 4, in fact it’s my favorite since Halo 2. They goofed up on some things but it has been and will continue to improve. I have full confidence 343i has learned what works and doesn’t work to make Halo 5 an even better game.

All I’ve seen is a bunch of talk and not much action from 343 to the issues we’ve had with Reach / Halo 4 that never got fixed. I’m not going to waste my time even getting hopeful about it.
