I had an idea that a good halo spin off would be to follow the elites or the covenant side, similar to halo 2 when you played as the arbiter.
Maybe follow the arbiter and what he did after halo 3 and what he does at the end of the game could tie in with halo 5-6.
Or could follow a similar reach spin-off and you could be a completely customisable elite like noble 6 and follow a separate story as a rouge elite squad or spec-ops missions helping the arbiter.
Spartans aren’t just the main part of Halo, creating an elite or covenant storyline would create a new feel for Halo and would satisfy the elite community.
Ahem is this a bad idea? Or have people just missed this?
No more Halo spinoffs. ODST, Wars, and Reach were all pretty iffy games. I wouldn’t mind seeing this as campaign DLC however.
Spin-offs would be alright if they actually connected to the main story of the trilogy. similar to reach, but with a better campaign.
Around 07/08, I was really hoping for a Halo 3 spin-off, where you played and saw everything from the Arbiter’s point of view. Have him intersect the Chief at the same points during the campaign, but also see what he was doing on his own.
A more diverse Halo Wars would be good.
