Would’t it be cool if there would be music in matches, c’mon why not like a true Arena game, Yes i know halo 5 has music in matches but that’s just only at the end or only at the intro and by music i don’t mean slapping halo 5 samples into a match and thats it, nononono.
If you played Arena FPS games back in the day, you’ll know exactly what i mean, you see Arena FPS multiplayer back in the day what made the matches so good was the music, other than the fast paced gameplay it used to have, the music was such a good addition, each map had its own music that would play for the whole match, and a really good tune.
Halo 5 by any means isn’t 100% Arena shooter since it has reloading, shields, HP regen, you name it, but it still an Arena shooter, 343i with Halo 5 did a lot of things that stay true to Arena FPS games, and some things just resemble it a lot, Halo 5’s tune at the start of the match all of them are really epic in those 3 seconds and it’s just solid proof of all the potential a tune would be for a multiplayer map.
Each multiplayer map in the next Halo game should have it’s own tune, No slapping OST from the main game, multiplayer maps should have its own soundtracks, but here’s the tricky part, you don’t put soundtracks that sound like the main halo ost, hohoho nope, Multiplayer should have it’s own theme on the maps that fits well with the gameplay and the way the map plays, Don’t make it sound like halo’s classic ost or the newest ost, it should be something like this
Unreal Tournament 4 Pre-Alpha OST Outpost 23 1080p - YouTube (this one would fit with Truth in halo 5, not 100% but it would fit)You get the big picture, tunes like this that fit with the gameplay, a classic halo ost would only FIT depending on the aesthetics of the map and it should still have that multiplayer feel to it, like a fast paced version.
I don’t know about you but, this really needs to happen, if you played Arena FPS back in the day, you know this needs to happen, if you never played them, you probably might get a picture on how good this can be, you had to play arena fps back in the day to get the big picture tho
And of course, release a standalone disc for the multiplayer OST.
