Just wondering what will make Halo 5 next-gen, with all these other AAA games, we haven’t seen much of this advancement. So what would we like to see added to Halo 5, mostly multiplayer improvements but any is nice. I would like to see the addition of environmental changes to the maps, like what they with the Halo 2A maps.
I’m sure they’ll have something like that.
Well, maybe … this is the first Halo that won’t have Max Hoberman and/or Certain Affinity working on it whatsoever (maybe except for ODST). The game is being built entirely in-house by 343. Which I think is good. It should feel like a pretty solid game.
What I would see brought to the table by this generation is scale in terms of story and campaign content. There is so much going on in the universe right now that this game can be the size of three standard campaigns in one. If you’ve been keeping abreast of the comics and all these story arcs going on right now, they can all merge in this game into something massive.
I know everyone is focused on the multiplayer, but right now there is the possibility of this game containing Prometheans, Flood, Brutes, Jul’s Covenant, the Arbiter’s forces, Blue Team, Lord Hood … just so much.

That would be interesting on how 343i will introduce Blue Team, knowing how they already built upon John.

They were poorly re-introduced in the comics. Linda and Fred appear in the new Halo 2 terminals, but they need a proper introduction. Chief spent most of his life with these people, they need more than the “hey, 'sup?” they got from Escalation.
Currently (from the “Next 72 Hours” story arc), Chief, Kelly, Linda, and Fred are AWOL and ONI and Lord Hood are looking for them.
