Next Content Update Scheduled for November

Taken from the latest update

Currently, we are tracking towards making these changes in the next content update for MCC, which is scheduled for November. We’ll have more information to share with you all as we get closer to that point.

We can expect the retroactive payout in November, but I’m curious what other content they plan to release. Could we see the remaining Halo Online armor for H3? Weapon/Vehicle skins for H2C and Reach? Mod tools for H4?

I appreciate the expectation setting here. While smaller more frequent updates were promised it has not been the case this year, and all I ask is the team keeps the community in the loop. Between Flood FF in April and the August update it’s been pretty barren in news.

since they planned on adding mod tools for each game, i’d hope mod tools for halo 4 come in this update. i also hope steam workshop support comes in this update too to make playing the mods easier.

more content would be nice, but the exchange makes earning this content really slow. some way to earn content faster would be nice.

also, and this is much more personal, is that i’d like to see the original background screens somehow return as options for the background select menu.

Halo 4 mod tools. HDR for PC. Remaining Halo Online Armor. Importing the Halo 1/2 Anniversary skulls into 4 like they’ve done for 3, ODST, and Reach. More of the Halo Online maps for Halo 3.

Since they’re adding cut content from Halo CE it wouldn’t be a surprise if the update is released the same day CE was launched.

My hopes:

  • Ability to disable boundaries in Forge.

  • Private file limit increase

  • Halo Reach mideval body armors to match the helmets

  • More Forge items, old or new would be fine by me

  • ODST Armor for H2A

  • Return of “Seasons” and continuation of MCC support ALONGSIDE Infinite

  • ODST Multiplayer (PVP)

i really agree on all the forge stuff, especially disabling boundaries! it would be amazing to explore the limits of each map

Well, at a very high level, this is what we are getting for the next update:

  • Cut content from Halo CE and Halo 2
  • Cross platform support for all Halo games
  • Moa collectibles for all Halo Games
  • More rewarding challenges
  • Spartan Points every time you level up.
  • Double XP weekend event.
  • Bug fixes (and some other new bugs)

Where were these confirmed for the next update?

This really is what I want for MCC content updates in the future (some of these might show up in the November update):

  • Enabling and disabling boundaries in Forge
  • An increase to private file limits
  • More Forge items
  • Return of more cut content for not just CE and 2, but every game
  • Halo 5 armor sets and helmets for H4 and Reach (for the latter, we can go with helmets only)
  • H2A ODST armor
  • Ability to keep your selected menu screen videos instead of always going back to the default ones
  • More collectibles for all campaigns, including Spartan Ops! Adding Moa statues to Reach and H4 will make me play these campaigns even more, especially the latter.
  • Steam Workshop support

Keep the updates coming.

  • Halo 1 Anniversary campaign mod tools
  • Halo 2 Anniversary campaign mod tools
  • Halo 4: Customization UI reworked to be more consistent with the other titles’ Customization UIs
  • Halo 4: Support/Tactical modules from the Halo 4 Championship Bundle fully implemented
  • Halo 4: Full implementation of the Extended Skull List as common to Halo 2 Anniversary
  • Halo Reach: Full implementation of the Extended Skull List as common to Halo 2 Anniversary
  • Halo CE: Official implementation of the Acrophobia skull
  • Halo 3: Implementation of the Assassin skull
  • Moa statues implemented MCC-wide, including as a Forge item and being active in multiplayer/firefight maps in matchmaking (and Spartan Ops)
  • (Maybe) New section in the UI showing text-based hints to where the Moa Statues can be found (anybody remember the Halo 4 easter egg hints?)
  • Digsite Halo CE armor variants added to MCC CE customization
  • Halo 3: Implementation of (all) remaining Halo Online Spartan armor not yet released
  • Halo Reach: Enabling the capability to mount more than one module on a helmet
  • Halo Reach: Cross-helmet module compatibility
  • Halo Reach: Jorge’s red visor added to visor customization options
  • Halo Reach: Haunted module removed from Pilot helmet variant, converted into a visor customization

CONSOLIDATION: Halo 2 Anniversary MP rolled into Halo 4 MP

  • Halo 2 Anniversary Spartan armor variants/components added to H4 customization
  • Halo 2 Anniversary gametype settings added to H4 MP
  • Halo 2 Anniversary maps added to H4 MP
  • Halo 2 Anniversary vehicles added to H4 MP / Forge
  • H2A Heretic Banshee secondary fuel rod cannon armament enabled/added
  • Halo 2 Anniversary outlier weapons added to H4 MP / Forge (not replacing pre-existing assets or copy-filling pre-existing roles; an example of qualifying for addition would be the H2A Sentinel beam emitter)
  • Halo 2 Anniversary Elite armor variants/components shelved until possibility for addition to Halo 3 customization
