We all know that Infinite is meant to be a platform for the next 10 years, with content being added over time, including campaigns. Back in December, Microsoft trademarked Halo: The Endless. I suspect this will be the next campaign released onto Infinite. Now the question is, when will it release? I’m guessing it won’t be like Destiny, which generally has annual, smaller expansion releases. I think we’ll be getting normal sized campaigns released, but every 2 years. I think the next campaign will release fall or holiday 2023. When do you think it’ll release? Let’s discuss!
I’m not sure when it’ll release to be honest. 343 definitely seems to be setting themselves up to have campaign seasons, but as for what the length of that season ends up being, I have no idea. There’s the possibility that early seasons will be on a different cadence vs later seasons due to working with cut content that might be easier to finish. And there’s also the possibility that not all campaign/DLC releases could continue Chief’s story, so that could mean we have a Chief campaign cadence and side-character cadence. Either way, lots of potential here, looking forward to seeing what becomes of the single player side of Infinite.
The Endless isn’t a game its a book
Who really gives a hoot when it releases knowing it will be just a bad as what they have released.
Cutting content from the game to sell hear and there because they don’t have enough content for this game is cheap lazy development.
No, it’s game content, as seen here: https://trademarks.justia.com/971/55/halo-the-97155366.html
Although my faith in 343’s writing has all but dried up, for some reason I still look forward to seeing what makes the paraplegic Wizard of Oz monkeys scarier than the Flood.
Hopefully the DLC also comes free to Game Pass.
Campaign Part 2 comes out in 2024 at the earliest and 2025 at the latest.
Whether or not we have a mini-dlc campaign every gap year is possible as well… though somewhat unlikely
Yeah, I don’t know that next ten years thing is really gonna work out.
It will pull a No Man’s Sky and Fallout New Vegas once 343 gets the companies that fixed MCC to focus on fixing Infinite. You know, like Certain Affinity.
The content is probably already made. They will sell us keys to access the cut content.
Skeleton Company.
Can you imagine the state of MP after ten years. You’d be lucky to get 8 players on.
Certain Affinity - to my knowledge - has been involved pretty much since Day 1. Pretty sure they’ve been heavily involved in MP and its current offerings. So I’m not all that certain that much would change were CA tapped to be lead on fixing Infinite’s issues.
I think your timing is correct, but I feel like they will still be much smaller than this campaign, because they just don’t seem to want to put any priority there. It is all about the PvP where they can have their micro transactions. I think PvE is a total after thought for this crew
Excited that Joe Staten’s back ![]()
