Next Gen Xbox confirmed for fall of 2013! The new device may house its own DVR and contains a 6000 series graphics processor, with support for DirectX11, 1080p HD, multi-display output, and 3D.
The new processor is estimated to provide 6x greater performance greater performance than current system.
“The new Xbox will be in production by the end of this year and arrive in late October or early November 2013, sources close to the project tell IGN.”
Stopped reading there, just another speculation, the amount of times I have heard from sources in the past two years is, silly.
The title reads “New Xbox coming in Fall 2013?”, the subtitle reads “The next iteration of Microsoft’s Xbox could hit retailer shelves as early as fall 2013”. Not even past the title of the article and we can tell it’s simply speculation, although Cnet’s decently reliable.

To be honest, I find this source to be much more reliable than IGN. Not only because they’re not IGN, but they actually provide much more information of their sources, seem to have more sources, and even have some reasoning behind what they say.
But according to this article, instead of the GPU being from the AMD’s 6000 series, it would be from the newer 7000 series. This article also hints to the CPU of the next Xbox to be IBM’s PowerPC. Which to my understanding seems like a pretty capable chip.
Anyhow, every piece of unofficial information we get is still rumors and speculation. But whatever it is, everything points towards a console at least six times more capable than the 360 in 2013-14.
I wonder if the new xbox will overheat when you run it for ten minutes like the first 360’s did(obvious exaggeration; my halo 3 limited edition xbox had only one problem. the disc tray. it was fixed in 3 days and it is still going today).
