I’m assuming we won’t get to see anymore Halo Infinite till E3 2020 since it wasn’t at X019.
According to a tweet I believe, someone said that E3 2020 will be special for halo, until then marvel and wonder at the halo universe. Or something along those lines. It’s a safe bet we won’t get much until E3. Maybe just a little bit of concept art sometime in between and we would be lucky to get that
Seems more likely, XO19 was probably the last major gaming event for this year, E3 is probably the best place to reveal everything since Halo is basically Xbox’s mascot.
Probably, though we could maybe get something at the GDC in March.

There’s still the Game Awards on December 12th but I do think E3 is more likely for next news.
If you follow Halo on Facebook or Instagram, they occasionally post behind-the-scenes videos of their sound team recording various sounds.

I completely forgot that existed but yeh E3 is more likely plus doubt 343i want to overwork over the holidays…though I wouldn’t be remotely surprised if the blogs have a tease for it before they break up for the holidays.
After E3 2019, 343i said E3 2020 is their next big venue for Infinite news. What I’m confused about though is they’re planning on doing flights and if they’re planning on taking feedback seriously, you’d think they’d need to start around a year before launch (soon if not now), so I don’t see how we’re not going to get at least MP gameplay before E3 2020. Unless they are planning on just having flights start after E3 and their purpose will be to test things like server stability and find bugs to squash.
Their whole E3 2019 presentation was a big advert telling us to come back again 2020. I highly doubt we will hear anything huge before now and E3.

There was 5 months between the start of Halo Reach MCC first flight and the game’s launch (June 28th to December 3rd), start shortly after E3 seems a reasonable guess if the scope is similar.

There is a huge difference. Halo Reach was an existing game. They only had to test basic bugs. The gameplay was set. For Infinite, they will have to change stuff in the gameplay as well. Halo 5 beta started in December 2014, and the game was released at the end of October 2015.
Halo 5 beta had a lot of stuff which people didn’t like, so it had to be excluded or tweaked in the final game.

The difference between Reach and Infinite though is Reach is a 9 year old game so the purpose of the flights was just to test it for launch whereas the flights for Infinite would be for that AND fan feedback on things like gameplay and maps. That’s the impression I was under anyway, maybe that’s not the case.

…if you wanted be optimistic, the original big Reach trailer aired at the December 2009 VGA (showing my age a bit here). It would be nice to get a snippet before the end of the year.

There was a small teaser at E3 2009 as well before that. Same year. June.
X019 has passed… GDC early next year is probably not appropriate… so E3 is looking like the go for Halo Infinite?
Does Sony have any prime conference opportunities? If they unveil the PS5 early in the year… then I would expect MS to follow suit (especially if it’s way earlier than E3)… and that would probably involve a showing of Halo Infinite.

That trailer is also when they announced the beta which came in May 2010. That and other 1st party Xbox games appearing at VGA/Game Awards in the past along with the Discover Hope trailer having a December 2019 date (22nd) suggests it’s possible that we get Infinite info at the Game Awards. We’ll just have to wait and see.

In 2013, Sony revealed the PS4 in February via their own Playstation Meeting conference. It’s possible they do something similar next year.

Yes, it all depends on what the scope of the flights are.
