Why are discussion threads not created and linked to the bottom of the 343i news posts such as Community Updates and Spotlight posts anymore?
I’m curious about this too. Seems like the perfect way to create a lot of discussion every week, but the entire section is relatively barren with only a couple of recent posts.

Something I noticed is us regular users can now make posts there too. This wasn’t the case before.
I wonder what changed?

This is a permissions issue - users shouldn’t be able to create new topics there and shouldn’t be creating new topics there. It’s known and will be fixed soon.

If we are not to post there, then I am hopeful discussion threads for 343i news posts will be created again once this is resolved.
Do you know why they stopped? They used to be linked at the bottom of each post.
It is kinda weird that the News and Announcements sub forums haven’t been updated since 2016.

Back when the Community Update was weekly, discussing the post in the weekly thread was something I looked forward to.
Even though they are not every week anymore, I would like to see the return of the discussion threads. The Spotlight posts are bi-weekly and I don’t think a discussion thread was created for the most recent one. One was made for the prior Spotlight post though.
