I’m back on Halo after a 5 year gap. I’m confused on matchmaking on Halo Guardians. The only multiplayer game I can get is Slayer on Social. I’d like to get on the larger maps with vehicles but it never connects. Something tells me “your playlist rank matches to qualify : 10”. I’ve played 6 games on social but that number hasn’t changed. What do I do to get on bigger maps? Thanks from YorkshireDadMan
Have you tried Big Team Super Fiesta? It’s got the big maps and vehicles, and you’ll probably find it more fun than anything in ranked.
I am not sure, I don’t get much time on the Xbox so have to rush in and out. Do you know what the rank matches :10 comment means? Thanks for your reply
You must play TEN matches within a ranked playlist to earn a visual reference to your TrueSkill level for the modes within the playlist. The visual reference is called Competitive Skill Rank (CSR). You can earn an independent playlist CSR for each ranked playlist if you so choose.
Social playlists are just playlists in which you cannot earn a visual representation of your TrueSkill level for its modes.

There might be a reason for that. The servers generally have low population at certain times of the day. It might be best to wait for a later time or try a different playlist but sometimes just resetting the search for the playlist may fix it but there are chances of common ‘time-out’ bugs that will show up regardless of if you find a game or if it drops you from the search.
I would just keep with social for now and learn the game and get familiar with it better
Yeah with the ranked games, you have to play 10 of them before you get an actual “rank” regarding the season. So the count starts at 10 until you play the 10th game, and then you’ll get a rank (like Gold, Platinum, or Diamond) with a number next to it (like Gold 3).
But I suggest what was already stated and stick with Social games until you’re back on your feet. You can always add me if you’d like a +1 as well since I’m a solo player :D. Also got a Spartan Company as well, but it’s just me and one other since I created it last week. More to help solo players play with others and increase skill together at the same time.

Broken up will count as long as they’re all in the same season.

You also have to finish the match to completion. If you quit before it’s over it will count as a loss, but it won’t go towards the 10 games you need to play before getting a rank. But I think that’s happened to me where I finish a match and it won’t count, but I’m sure it’s just a bug that comes and goes. It doesn’t happen often.

I sometimes find that games load significantly faster with even just one extra player in my fireteam. Might be worth a try if you have anyone to team up with.
