Always hated this. What’s so hard about releasing it at the same time globally instead of adhering to some pointless date dependent on location for no reason?
The problem is that if they did a release time that was global, certain places would have it released at 3am or similar. I’m from Australia, and I know that the US would get the prime time, and we would get screwed.

But having it released at midnight in the US in the middle of a work-week is better? It doesn’t make a difference.

I wouldn’t call midnight “prime time”.
If teleportation was a thing, I would totally zoom over there right now so I could pick up a copy and have all Monday to play on the east coast.
