Why are you trying to pick a fight? I’m allowed to have an opinion.
I have no problem with people that like to have long play sessions, as long as they are not being manipulated into it by a progression system designed to encourage people to not put down the controller.
Mate, come on. This new system guarantees that even if you only play 6 matches a day you’ll go up a battlepass tier without event having to do any weeklies.
It’s pretty bloody generous. You can slap on an xp boost and go up 2 battlepass ranks in an hour JUST by doing daily challenges alone. I already went up 5 battlepass tiers in one hour of xp boost during the tenrai event on the old system.
If they make it any more generous everybody will start complaining that it’s too easy to level up and finish the battlepass and that there’s nothing left to do.
I agree a skill based system like reach would be ideal, but then people who aren’t very good at the game will feel like they’re being shafted. There are two sides to every coin and a lot of different types of players in this community.
Regardless of future improvements, as it is I think it’s quite good - a lot of people can only hop on for an hour a day, and it means that those people if consistent can finish the battlepass in a 3 month season.
how did it get 130+ replies without resonating with anyone? Seems there is more than just a kernel of truth in the title of the thread. The downside is it’s a narrow-minded “band-aid” fix that didn’t have to take away incentive for longer play sessions. but it did because it sucks. but furthermore they missed the opportunity to incentivize team play, which plays to the performance rewards that most people want. which makes it suck more. people like you missing the point doesn’t make it suck less.
Yeah i don’t agree with the tenrai event timing either even though i’m at level 7 in it i’d rather get it all done now so i can go back to normal stuff
Good point that I hadn’t thought about. Why would they do a limited/special event before the official release? Just another example of why this isn’t really a beta.
Love everything you said there. One note on #3, another reason to be careful with that win bonus, it could incentivize cheating, or more cheaters. I play on my PC and I’ve spotted a few of these guys already myself and it bugs me I can’t report them and I don’t record my gameplay so reporting out of game is impossible.
Other than that, it would be nice if they’d incorporate those ideas.
Yes, but the controls are very hap hazard and hard to learn and there’s currently no way to view the game as a player would see it you either get no hud or hud with the legend taking up screen space.
Can you not follow a player to see what they are doing? Obviously we can’t see if someone is using a wall hack as we can’t see what they see, however, if they are standing behind a wall and looking at it and moving in a particular way, it’s gotta be clear if they’re tracking something. Triggerbot would be pretty easy to see as the gun would only fire when their reticule passes over a player and even in 3rd person it “should” stand out. Aimbot however I think would be hard to sus out in theater.
Next match I see something sus I’ll try theater. Maybe it might work. If so, I’ll report back.
People want everything unlocked right from the get go just because they paid for it. That’s what I feel that they’re really trying to tell us and this is all about.
Honestly, all of this monetization talk and free-to-play business models, challenge and battle pass systems make me yearn for the gaming of t he past. I am at a loss for words that will accurately describe my apprehension of the future of gaming. I have several points but since some do not apply to Halo Infinite I don’t think it would be appropriate to list them here on this forum. I just wanted to get how uncomfortable and scared I am for the future of gaming off of my chest.
yes you can but the controls and thetre need a bit of polish. but the other problem is at least for PC reporting is not worth the effort as you have to put in everything manually and i don’t think there’s an in game report feature for pc.
