Well if “they” get a dopamine rush just from seeing numbers get bigger, they can always download Cookie Clicker.

This is great for people who want to play Halo and have 9-5 jobs. They can only usually spare an hour of free time. Let this exist as the BASELINE, not something that SHOULDN’T exist. Destiny 2 was anti casual, don’t let this game get anti-casual too.
previous games had better customization not locked behind a paywall… armor coatings are too limited…
Thank you for giving a legitimate response.
I think it’s perfectly civil to express my astonishment and make a sarcastic remark. I didn’t just lash at anyone with pointless insults. I wouldn’t call that taking a jab, it’s just a sarcastic comment, but no I was not being “sophisticated” and I’m not now either, I’m just talking on a video game forum lol
What pay to progress system actually works? we all hate them but it is what this company want to do to make more money.
The fact the game didn’t launch with performance XP is just awful. Yea let’s not reward players for actually playing well.
I just want them to increase it to 150 exp per game. This way every 7 games you can get a level so those who want to play more won’t be punished for it. Right now you need 26 games for 2 levels. This hurts.
That is because it is a stop gap, not meant to be a long term set up.
Right now you need 27 games for 2 levels
No. You only need that if you want to play 27 games in a single day without getting a single challenge. It takes 12 games for 2 levels using the new daily system and playing 6 games each day. Add on top of that challenge experience and earning 2 levels a day each week by only playing the 6 daily matches and maybe a couple extra games to wrap up in-progress challenges seems easily plausible.

You get 1 level after 6 games. After those innitial games you revert to gaining 50 exp per level. Without completing any of the weekly challenges you must play an additional 20 games for another level. Using the new daily system it takes 26 games to level.
Completing all of the weekly challenges will give you around 3 to 4 levels. After that you’re back at 26 games for 2 levels per day for the rest of the week.
If someone started playing now (no previous progress) they would have to play 6 matches for 100 days to max the battle pass. This assumes no weekly challenges are met (pretty much impossible). There are 150 days until the next pass releases. Personally, I think this is fine.

Yup, I’m aware. That’s why I said “27 games in a single day.”

I added up all my challenges plus the weekly ultimate (which I think is always 300 right?) And it came to 5100 XP. If I don’t have to play a single 7th match, or use a single XP boost that I got from the free event, I’m looking at 12 levels in a single week. This progression rate is fine for the time being. If they add in other forms of XP (Wins, Medals, Performance) then it’ll be even better.
After that you’re back at 26 games for 2 levels per day for the rest of the week.
Dude I just don’t care. In the current system it’s easy to get 1.5 to 2 levels per day over the course of a week, and that first level goes by insanely fast. As that other person said, a new player could log in right now and only play the 6 daily matches and reach level cap 50 days before the next season starts. The rate is fine.
@NathanIsMyName Some fair points. My biggest complaint with the progression system is that I only got in about 5 hours, and didn’t have time for more while Tenrai was available. For some, the problem is not even that they are impatient with the grind. It is not having the time while Tenrai was available, and Tenrai not even being available over the holidays when most people have more time off work to actually get the most out of the game. Not being able to play what I want when I actually have time is really infuriating after spending money on Battle-Pass. If you are secure in the knowledge that you will be able to grind Tenrai regardless of which weeks it becomes available, good for you. But don’t make a habit of selling other people’s frustrations short. I don’t care how long the grind takes, but I deserve to know that it will be there during the times I am actually able to play more extensively.

I’m replying to this morning’s xp update you ignorant twit.
who made you the hall monitor of gaming time? so because you don’t want to play for an extended length of time others should be punished for doing it?
excuse me? It is not entitlement to expect a fair product for a fair price. The progression isn’t fair and it hurts the product, the battle pass they charge money for. Stop being ignorant.
This 100%. I would’ve paid $80 for the full package.
another person that can’t take their own advice. sad.
As a stop gap, I am ok with the new system. As they stated it will be replaced. But god I hope it doesn’t stay.

kid on christmas, nah. this wasn’t a gift. the battle pass is a purchase. so it’s more like a defective product you paid for. but hey, keep trying, one day you’ll have an intelligent thought. just gotta stay after it.
