343 should make it possible so that they can release weapon and vehicle DLC in the future…

Why wouldn’t I?

People pay for map packs, why not just put new guns in those map packs?

Adding them new in DLC would mean they would only exist on those maps without a full on update to the game’s coding.

Maybe a special gun worked into the design of the map? Like a rip-off-able mini gauss turret sorta thing

Battle field bad company 2 released a Vietnam DLC, it had vietnam weapons and vehicles – all new!!

can’t they do that with Halo 4 as well? not vietnam, just having new weapons and vehicles on DLC?

and if we need a TU to play on the new maps then I’m down!

Because it kinda eliminates the “sandbox” by making some things only available on some maps. It would be cool, but it would be a mean marketing ploy to get people to buy the map packs.

Using Vietnam as an example proves my point. They added new models for vehicles as well as guns, but this stuff only existed in Vietnam, not in regular BC2. That’s the same with Halo. If they do add this stuff, it will only exist on those maps as it’s only coded into those maps. For it to exist on all maps, they need to release a full on game-wide update to code them all in. Vietnam was different from a typical map pack though. I believe it was said it was standalone, but could be launched from BC2 if you had it.

Just because they add something cool to a game, its mostly for the sake of it being cool, not for money…

All of Halo 4 is being milked by Microsoft anyway.
