They must keep all the classic halo weapons though. If I see a loss of something like the needler or plasma rifle I will be annoyed. Reach made this mistake by replacing things like the carbine with the needle rifle. Nice but in 10 years from now people wont go, “oh I remember the needle rifle” like to do with the actual needler.

This is why Halo 3 failed, If you don’t replace old weapons then you just end up adding weapons that fill the same role as the one previous and literally adding obselete weapons.
If you’re going to start a new game, make a new sandbox but with one weapon that fills each role as before otherwise you just get an obese sandbox filled with obselete weapons with a small group of weapons that dominate.

Halo 3 itself didn’t fail but the range of weapons you could use definitely failed. Weapons like the needler, plasma rifle, assault rifle, pistol and the spiker were basically useless. The only weapons worth using were power weapons and the BR.

Those weapons are all back and well balanced. That’s a balance issue, not a “too many guns issue”.
Yes, there will be new weapons.
Hopefully we get to see some actually forerunner weaponry, sentinal beams don’t count.
I remember one of the forerunner stories that talked about how the forerunners weapons worked. They had weapons that could be combined to create a more focused powerful beam.
Could really change the element of ‘Team shotting’ if your weapons actually became more powerful when used in unison.
If what they can do is limited, so I wanna all weapons of all Halos ,at least in the multiplayer
