Why should I be blindly grateful for something I don’t like? What is this logic?
And steampunk and Halo don’t mix. I’m just so sick of every shooter having to have weird outlandish skins instead of more fitting stuff like camos and geometric patterns like the Prime skin.
Here is your logic: adjust to change and learn to like change. And most of all, try to look at the positive part of having these new skins. Would you rather have a game with no weapon skins at all?
How could you hate shark face, that skin and its bloody counterpart are amazing. Oh, and the 2 magnum skins and the BR skin are more practical.

The shark decal is a throwback to much earlier Halo titles, We’re talking Halo:CE PC and even Halo 3 here.
The decal originally referenced the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk (WWII fighter plane)
It certainly pre-dates Gear of War 3.

I agree. Once i saw that, it definitely reminded me of the skins your would see on WWI or WWII fighter planes. Good call. Im so looking forward into using that.
Halo skins are not outlandish. Steampunk isn’t something just silly like having a bright neon pink flashy magnum.

Coming from TF2, I agree.
So many hats, paints, etc. that pay no respect at all to the art style / theme of the game.

Steampunk is the closest 343 is getting to gold without just plain using gold.

Aaaand your logic is that if new content is introduced and someone doesn’t like the look of them, they don’t like change. That’s a pretty big jump.
I’m glad we’re getting new skins and I like some of them too. But I think what the OP is trying to say is that the skins aren’t very believable, meaning most soldiers probably wouldn’t use them in a real battle. And I can understand that–honestly, I’d prefer skins that are less flamboyant and more realistic like the ones that shipped with the game.

Ummm, yes. Yes I would. Halo is the last game that needs weapon skins. The weapons are too iconic to have people put their bulls*** all over them.
